Abbey Clancy has shared that she suspected her husband Peter Crouch of “having an affair” after he began “sneaking off” recently. Despite being married to the former England footballer since 2011 and sharing four children, the Woolton model confessed that a shift in Peter’s behaviour had led her to worry about potential infidelity.

During a recent episode of their Therapy Crouch podcast, Abbey humorously shared her “whine of the week”, revealing that Peter had been “sneaking off”. She explained: “So for two days, Pete was being all shifty. I thought he was having an affair at one point. I had to send Jack [their youngest child] with him because he kept sneaking off.

“And he was like, ‘I’ve just got to go and see this golf course.’ So we came back. And then he was like, ‘You’re not going to believe this golf course.'”

It eventually transpired that Peter had been secretly visiting a new golf course he was considering joining, attempting to win Abbey over by mentioning its attached horse-riding centre.

However, Abbey was unimpressed by his attempt to curry favour with horseplay, retorting that Peter “must’ve thought that she was born yesterday”.

The mum-of-four also talked about a recent get-together with friends where she mentioned Peter possibly joining the club, before making a bombshell discovery.

“So then our friends all came over for lunch and I was like, ‘Guys, what did you think of that golf course? Pete’s thinking of joining it’,” she said. “And they all just started laughing. I was like, ‘You joined? What’s with all the lies?'”

A cornered Peter then said: “I wasn’t lying!”

Abbey replied: “Like, number one, I couldn’t stop you from joining anyway. I want you to be happy. But I don’t understand why you have to be so cloak and dagger.”

Peter insisted there was nothing wrong, adding: “No, I wasn’t cloak and dagger at all. I just told you. Like, I’m thinking about it. I was totally honest. I’m thinking about joining this thing.”

With the air clear, Abbey then quipped about when she plans to visit the equestrian centre, which Peter confirmed had not yet been built. She joked: “It’ll be built in 2043.”

Laughing off her answer, Peter reassured her: “But it’s going to be amazing.”

Peter joined Liverpool in July 2005 and met Abbey quite by chance at a bar where she was working in the city.

Their love story flourished, and six years later, they exchanged vows at a ceremony at Stapleford Park in Leicestershire.

Their first child, Sophia Ruby, arrived just months before their wedding, followed by Liberty Rose (born June 2015), Johnny (born January 2018), and Jack (born June 2019).

In recent times, the couple’s careers have intersected as they launched The Therapy Crouch, offering listeners an inside glimpse into their bustling lives, reports Wales Online.
