Lilly Gerrard welcomed her first child into the world earlier this month and has recently shared some adorable photographs of her baby girl, Lila Grey. The exciting family news was announced on social media on Tuesday, July 15 by the daughter of Liverpool legend, Steven Gerrard.
Lilly shared the incredible news that she had given birth when she posted a snap of her partner, Lee Byrne, as he carried their new baby out of the hospital. She captioned the post: “2 becomes 3”
In a recent post, Lilly shared some adorable snaps of Lila Grey, photographed in a professional photoshoot as she was placed in a cream coloured knitted swing.
Another snap saw the newborn asleep with a silver crown placed on her head, as Lilly dressed her baby in a gorgeous white dress with a satin bow on the back.
Curtis Jones’ fiancé Saffie Khan took to the comments as she added heart eyes emojis, while Abbey Clancy commented: “Oh my god she is just beautiful.” Former Coronation Street actress Brooke Vincent said: “Oh Darling xx she’s beautiful.”
Other fans also rushed to the comments to show their support. One follower wrote: “So gorgeous. Congratulations to you all.” Another said: “She’s perfect.”
The Liverpool FC legend’s daughter has carried on a family tradition as she confirmed the name of her new bundle of joy. She said: “So lucky to be your mum. My beautiful baby girl. Lila Grey. Perfection.”
The adorable name is in keeping with a family tradition as the retired Reds’ midfielder and his wife Alex gave all of their children names beginning with L. In addition to Lilly, Gerrard and Alex are the proud parents of Lexie, Lourdes and Lio.
Steven Gerrard has embraced his new role as grandad as he recently shared a photograph of him on “grandad duty.” The 45-year-old shared a snap cradling Lila with his Instagram followers.
Lilly revealed the exciting news she was expecting a baby in January. She said: “Our little secret. The best news, mini us is on the way.” Gerrard was the first to comment after his daughter revealed her exciting baby news earlier this year.
He said: “We cant wait. Great news and congratulations we love you.” He has not shied away from showing his support online. He recently uploaded a post to his Instagram story as he wrote: “So proud of you Lilly”, alongside a red heart emoji.
Lilly and her partner Lee Byrne have been dating for over two years, the two confirmed their relationship in 2022 with a series of pictures from time together in Ibiza, Spain.
Gerrard’s daughter grew up in Merseyside but has spent a lot of time away from the UK in the past couple of years due to her dad’s management commitments with Al-Ettifaq FC, a team he departed from in January.
