Patrick Kielty and Cat Deeley have announced their split

Cat Deeley and Patrick Kielty have separated after more than a decade of marriage. The TV presenters share two sons together, Milo and James. They tied the knot in 2012 in a lavish ceremony held in Rome.

In a joint statement to the PA news agency, Cat Deeley and Patrick Kielty said: “We have taken the decision to end our marriage and are now separated. There is no other party involved.

“We will continue to be united as loving parents to our children and would therefore kindly ask for our family privacy to be respected. There will be no further comment.

Cat and Patrick first met in 2002 while co-hosting the BBC talent show Fame Academy. Their friendship blossomed into a relationship and they made their first public appearance as a couple in 2011, before they got married a year later in the Italian capital. They spent most of their relationship living in California, but they made the move back to London in 2020.

The couple have both secured their own successful careers in the showbiz industry. Cat is currently one of the main presenters on ITV daytime show This Morning alongside co-presenter Ben Shephard.

In 2023, she appeared as a guest presenter following Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby’s departures from the show. It was later confirmed that she would be staying on the sofa as a permanent host.

Cat kickstarted her career on SM:TV Live with Ant and Dec from 1998 to 2002. She has also hosted the US series So You Think You Can Dance and the ITV talent show Stars in Their Eyes.
