
Hulk Hogan’s wife has issued a heartbroken statement after her husband’s death. Sky Hogan has been married to the legendary WWE superstar since 2023.
It was confirmed yesterday that the 12 time world champion, whose real name was Terry Gene Bollea, had died aged 71. Sky has taken to social media today to react to the wrestler’s death. She shared a snap with her 51,000 followers alongside the caption: “I wasn’t ready for this… and my heart is in pieces.
“He had been dealing with some health issues, but I truly believed we would overcome them. I had so much faith in his strength. I thought we still had more time.
“This loss is sudden and impossible to process. To the world, he was a legend… but to me, he was my Terry. The man I loved. My partner. My heart.
“Hulk loved his fans so much and despite his growing physical discomfort, he did everything he could to show up, sign autographs, take photos, and connect with the people who supported him through it all.
“You meant everything to him. He was a believer in Christ, and I take comfort knowing his soul is at peace and he’s been welcomed home. Please keep his family and all of us who loved him in your prayers as we try to navigate this new reality.”

Hogan was born in Augusta, Georgia, on August 11, 1953. He began watching professional wrestling at 16 years old and started his professional career in 1977.
He rose to fame in the 1980s and went on to main event the flagship Wrestlemania event eight times. He was part of some of wrestling’s most iconic moments, including a main event against Andre the Giant at Wrestlemania III in the Pontiac Silverdome.
WWE issued a statement after the death was confirmed to pay tribute to the wrestler. who is part of the sport entertainment company’s Hall of Fame.
The statement said: “WWE is saddened to learn WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has passed away. One of pop culture’s most recognizable figures, Hogan helped WWE achieve global recognition in the 1980s. WWE extends its condolences to Hogan’s family, friends, and fans.”
Hogan was one of first superstars to achieve success away from the wrestling ring. He enjoyed a successful career in film and appeared in Rocky III and a number of family comedies such as Mr Nanny.
Followers took to the comments after Sky’s post to send messages of support to the family. Nicole said: “I’m so sorry. Thinking of you and your family. Sending you peace and love during this difficult time.”
Heather added: “My heart is broken for you. I’m so sorry! Sending big hugs to you & your kids!” Erin added: “So sorry for your loss it is unimaginable”
