ITV Coronation Street fans react similarly as a Brookside legend joins the Theo storyline.

Coronation Street fans have said the same thing as a Brookside legend joins Theo Silverton’s storyline.

Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) first crossed paths with scaffolder Theo (James Cartwright) back in March, and there was an immediate spark between them.

It soon came to light that Theo was actually married to a woman called Danielle (Natalie Anderson), and the couple have two children together.

Theo soon found himself shunned by his family after Danielle discovered his affair with Todd.

That’s not all, as Theo also confided in Todd about his past struggles with his sexuality, having been pressured into conversion therapy by his deeply religious parents when he was younger, reports Leicestershire Live.

Although Theo initially pulled away from Todd to focus on his family, their romance was reignited, though it hasn’t been plain sailing.

Tensions recently rose when Theo’s daughter, Millie (Kaitlyn Earley), lied about being pregnant in an attempt to lure her dad back home.

The drama escalated when James Bailey (Jason Callender) made a drunken pass at Todd at number eleven, leading to Theo issuing a stark warning.

“If I ever catch you sneaking round him again, we’ll be exchanging more than just words,” he threatened.

Theo star James has since hinted at a “dark” turn of events for Todd as their relationship continues to unfold on-screen.

“The thing with Theo is he’s a very complicated man and although I don’t think he’s malicious, I don’t think he’s a psychopath or a sociopath or anything like that, but he’s a complicated man,” he explained on Lorraine.

“People with baggage, what you realise as you get older is they don’t change. You want to change them, you can’t change them.”

The Sun has now revealed that Brookside star Sarah White, who portrayed Bev Dixon for a decade, will make a brief appearance on the cobbles as part of Theo’s storyline.

Sarah White

An insider shared: “Sarah will be playing a mediator as part of Theo Silverton’s acrimonious divorce from wife Danielle. She’s filming now and will be seen on screen later this year.”

Soap fans were thrilled upon hearing the news, with many expressing their excitement on social media.

“I used to love Brookside, what a casting,” one person posted on a Facebook fan page.

Another chimed in: “When two soaps collide, looking forward to seeing Sarah White on Corrie later this year,” while a third commented: “So excited. Not only for Sarah to appear but also for Danielle and Theo to get divorced.”
