Emmerdale’s Lisa Riley has spent some time with colleague Paula Lane away from the fictional village. Lisa is known for her role of Mandy Dingle on the soap and Paula played the role of Ella Forster. She is also known for being Kylie Platt on Coronation Street.
Uploading a post to Instagram yesterday, Lisa shared a selfie of the two actresses. She captioned it: “Finished work at @emmerdale then straight to @leedschalounge to meet up with this beautiful lady for brunch.
“@paula_laney We have had the most gorgeous afternoon catching up, nattering forever, laughing, like we had never been apart. Love you to absolute pieces babes-thanks for the best brunch-see you very soon for more of that please.”
Paula responded to the heartfelt message, saying: “Love you beautiful. See you soon.” Lisa often shares insights into her life on and off the screen using her social media accounts.
She recently shared a video sketch of herself alongside one of the Emmerdale directors, Joseph Hart, who is trading one ITV soap for the other.
In the video, Joe asks for an appointment at the hair salon, but Lisa (in character as Mandy) recommended he tries Audrey’s salon on Coronation Street instea]d, hinting at his move away from the Yorkshire village.

The actress also shares a close bond with Natalie Robb, who portrays Moira Barton on the fictional soap Emmerdale. At the Soap Awards in June, a picture of the two on their way to the ceremony was posted. She wrote “love ya babes. Here’s us on our way.”
Lisa has worked with many faces over the years, thanks to her long stints in Emmerdale. She made her Emmerdale debut as Mandy Dingle back in 1995 and has since become a full-time cast member, tackling some big storylines over the last three decades.
The most recent catch-up between Lisa and Paula comes after Paula left the soap in February. The character faced a difficult time on the soap when her partner Dr Liam Cavanagh chose a relationship with Chase Dingle instead of her.
Her character was last seen after being arrested for holding Liam hostage, although viewers knew that the guilty party was John Sugden. Paula spent just over a year on the soap but is arguably more known for the character of Kylie Platt on Coronation Street.
Kylie died in 2016 when she was stabbed by Clayton when trying to defend her friend Gemma. She passed away in David Platt’s arms in the middle of the street.
After the picture of Lisa and Paula was shared, fans left supportive messages. One comment said: “Love this so much!! Girly catch ups are the best.”
A second wrote: “Lovely you’ve kept in touch” and another fan posted “Lovely photo of you lovely ladies, hope you are having a lovely day.”
