Emmerdale fans believe they’ve worked out the identity of Celia Daniels’ grandson, and they’re already in the village.
Last month, it was confirmed that Casualty star Jaye Griffiths would be joining the cast of the ITV soap as no-nonsense farmer Celia.
“I was delighted to get this role – without giving the game away, she is very different to anyone I have played before and I can’t wait to really get into the heart of her storyline,” Jaye previously said in a statement.
Producer Laura Shaw added: “We are absolutely delighted to have Jaye Griffiths joining us to play the role of Celia. Having recently taken over a nearby farm, not much is known about mysterious Celia’s past before arriving on the outskirts of the village.
“While Celia has a tough edge with an air of respectability, the audience, and our villagers, will soon start to see what this woman is truly capable of,” reports Belfast Live.

Celia made her debut on Monday (June 30) night, where she pitched an intriguing proposal to her neighbour, Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb).
She tried to persuade the Emmerdale favourite to let her rent two of her fields, but Moira wasn’t quickly convinced.
Despite her financial woes after the slurry leak at Butlers Farm, Moira was hesitant to take Celia up on her offer as her reputation preceded her.
“The two fields next to mine. I’ll rent them from you for £500 a month for both,” Celia boldly suggested, to which Moira replied: “Well, I think we both know they’re worth a lot more than that.”
Celia waved aside Moira’s concerns, saying: “We do, but we also know that you are desperate for money to pay that fine of yours.”

Moira snapped back, her patience thinning: “Yeah, you are right, I do need money. Just not yours thanks,” only for Celia to ominously retort: “Your funeral, which considering the level of stress on your face, won’t be that long.”
Later, Celia encountered Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) sitting in his car as his father, Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards), took a toilet break at the side of the road.
After warning him not to trespass, Celia’s dog attacked Paddy after he saved a sheep that was caught in her fence. His injuries quickly sent him to the hospital, where doctors had to perform an emergency blood transfusion.
PC Swirling (Andy Moore) then arrived to get information about the attack, before confirming that he’d talk to Celia about her dog.

Now, several Emmerdale viewers are convinced that Celia could already have a family member in the village, with many suggesting that Kammy Hadiq (Shebz Miah) could be her grandson.
Kammy notably arrived in the village back in March, where he struck up a romance with Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill). He currently works at the garage with Sarah and her grandfather, Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley).
“Various people have been asking about Kammy’s background over the last couple of weeks. I wonder if he’s going to be related to Celia,” one person wrote on Reddit.
Another added, “That would be interesting. Emmerdale has been fairly good at introducing new characters lately,” while a third speculated, “I did think he’ll be her grandson.”
A fourth viewer echoed the sentiment, saying: “Ohh yess that would be a great twist, they would be a formidable family.”
