Abbey Clancy has revealed that husband Peter Crouch “flipped” after she “told him off” during a romantic getaway.
The 39-year-old model and former England striker Peter recently enjoyed a break away in Ibiza. The couple said they enjoyed “gorgeous” good and “drank a lot”.
It was after a few drinks that 44-year-old Peter admits there was a “period of rudeness” between the pair. Abbey says it came after she “told him off” for not eating his dinner, and her pal had a brutal putdown of the footballer.
Speaking on their The Therapy Crouch Podcast, Abbey said: “We only had one argument, where [Abbey’s friend] Lucinda and I told you off for not eating your burger. We got off a boat, ravenous, p*****, and ordered nachos, chicken burgers, cheese burgers, ribs, and Pete’s like….and I’m like, ‘eat your dinner’.”
“He’s like, ‘no’. And then Lucinda’s like, ‘You eat like a bird Pete’ and he just flipped.”

Despite the tiff over Pete’s food, the couple enjoyed their time away without their four children. Abbey explained: “It was nice to reconnect and be a couple and have no responsibilities.”
Detailing the numerous joys of their short escape, she enthused: “We just had the best time, two nights away from the kids, gorgeous food, great company. We didn’t hit one club.”
Peter chimed in to share his side, saying: “We didn’t go to the club but we drank a lot. We made our own party. It was good anyway.”
While in Spain, former Liverpool forward Peter indulged in more than just partying – he braved the intense mountain biking trails. Describing the experience, Peter said the terrain was “intense” while Abbey shared how her husband came back from the expedition looking “cut and dishevelled”.
Peter recalled the cycling adventure: “We were pinging down this hill. They said, ‘you better put some helmets on’ and I said, ‘Helmets, losers’. The minute I got on it, I went, ‘Oh my God, I need a helmet’.”
On navigating the tough landscape, he explained: “We’re going down hill, it’s hard because it’s gravelly and a mountain and you’ve got sharp turns. I’m pinging down fast, and turning, braking, it’s slipping, it’s going back on yourself, it was intense. It was an intense bike ride.”

Abbey recounted the aftermath: “They all came back dishevelled, cuts all over their legs and everything. We were like, ‘What the hell has just happened’. The girls were having amazing massages in the villa and they came back sweating and branch scratches all over them.”
Peter and Abbey met in Liverpool in 2005. Recalling how they met during an interview on Good Morning Britain, Abbey said: “When we first met, he begged me for my number and then I went to the loo or the bar, and when I came back, he was talking to another girl. I was like, ‘How dare you?'”
Peter gave his side, stating he was simply “just talking” before Abbey asked for her number back. To which he responded: “I said, ‘You can’t give someone your number and then take it back’.”
Despite an early hiccup, their relationship flourished and the couple exchanged vows on 30 June 2011. They are now proud parents to Sophia, Liberty Rose, Johnny and Jack.
