Kym Marsh has shared a family update with social media followers. The former Coronation Street actress told fans she was “thrilled” as she announced grandchild number four.

The actress has three children, David, 31, Emilie, 28 and Polly, 14. Taking to Instagram Kym revealed daughter Emilie Cunliffe and son-in-law Michael Hoszowskyj were expecting their second child.

Kym and ex David Cunliffe are the parents of Emilie, she shared a picture of the couple’s son Teddy and Michael’s son Polly as they held the ultrasound.

Written on their tops was “Big Brother” and “Big Sister”. A baby grow placed in the middle of the children had “here comes trouble” across the front.

Proud mum and nan, Kym said: “I am so thrilled to share the news!!! Grandchild number 4… incoming!!! Congratulations to my beautiful daughter @listentoemilie , my wonderful son in law @mikeyhoz and Teddy and Polly!! Can’t wait to meet you little one!”

Kym is also nan to her eldest child David’s son Clayton, who he welcomed with fiancée Courtney in 2022. Emilie, who wed Michael in 2023, shared her own announcement which featured a clip of the kids finding out the news, before being presented with ‘Big Brother’ and ‘Big Sister’ T-shirts.

Speaking to CBeebies about her family, she said: “I always knew I would be a young grandparent because of how old I was when I had my children. She said: “I was 42 when I found out I was going to be a grandparent. It still came as a bit of a shock but I was so excited.

“Both me and Emilie’s dad were thrilled to bits. Then, of course, meeting Teddy was on another level. I’m still a very busy person, but as a grandma I try to make as much time as I can. I like to think they will all grow up knowing that, even though I’m busy, I will always be there for them.”

In February, the actress took to Instagram to pay tribute to her son on his birthday. The Waterloo Road star shared a picture of a memorial with a candle lit and a framed picture of hand and foot prints. Kym lost son Archie in 2009, after he was born prematurely at just 21 weeks.

She wrote: “16 years without you. It feels like yesterday we said goodbye. Every year I try to write something new. But the fact is that there is nothing new to say. I still miss you every day, that will never change.”

The emotional message continued: “I still hurt and feel pain the same as always. I still would give anything to have you here with us to celebrate your birthday.

“To see you smile when you opened your gifts, to hear you laugh at the silly things people would write in your cards, to see Polly annoying her big brother and the two of you doing the silly bickering that siblings do, to give me a hug and tell me you love me, but that I needed to let go now cos I’m embarrassing you haha.”

Kym told her Instagram followers that the family all miss Archie, but she take great comfort in knowing that his grandad is up there with him now.

Kym has worked tirelessly over the years to raise awareness of baby loss, and previously revealed how thrilled she was to learn that the government had chosen to expand its baby loss certificate scheme.
