Michelle Keegan gave birth to her first child, Palma, earlier this year. Michelle and her husband Mark Wright tied the knot nearly a decade ago and have been keeping fans in the loop about parenthood.
The former Coronation Street actress revealed she was expecting her first child in a joint announcement with Mark at the end of last year. In March this year, the 37-year-old shared an adorable snap as the happy couple cradled their newborn, showing her off to Michelle’s 7.4m followers.
She captioned the post: “Together we have a new love to share… Our little girl. Palma Elizabeth Wright. 06.03.25.” The Fool Me Once star was flooded with happy messages from her co-stars after the amazing news.
It seems as though Michelle and Mark have named their first child after their favourite holiday destination. The two have regularly shared snaps from their travels in Palma, Mallorca on Instagram.
The couple often post snaps of their luxurious holidays around the world. In a recent post on Instagram, Michelle shared several photographs of a family holiday to southern Spain.
The actress gave her followers an insight into their time away, including snaps of the beautiful spa hotel in Cádiz, Spain as well as photographs of her traditional Spanish tapas and sangria.
One snap sees Michelle cradling her three-month old while she is sat by the pool. She captioned the post: “Princess P’s first family holiday.”
Fans rushed to the comments to congratulate the star on their family milestone. One said: “Perfect” followed by red love heart emojis, while another wrote: “Soo precious congrats so happy for you both you truly deserve it xx”
Ex-Coronation Street star Brooke Vincent, who portrayed Sophie Webster, commented with love heart emojis. Natalie Anderson, who currently plays Danielle Silverton on the ITV soap, also added to the comments. She said: “Beautiful darling!”
Michelle and Mark first met in Dubai at the end of 2012 and confirmed their relationship at the 2013 National Television Awards. Just nine months later, Mark proposed to Michelle during a trip back to Dubai. Mark Wright shared his emotions with The Mirror following his engagement.
Speaking at the time, he said: “I’ve got now, for the first time in my life, what I’ve always wanted and what every boy dreams of – affection in a relationship, love, best friend, a girl I fancy… everything rolled into one.”
The couple then proceeded to have a fairy-tale wedding at St Mary’s Church in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, celebrating afterwards at the grand Hengrave Hall.
Michelle has recently finished filming for the last ever series of one of Sky’s biggest TV shows, Brassic. The actress has starred in Brassic since it first aired back in 2019 and has appeared in all six series.
Last month, she shared a series of photos from her time filming the show over the past seven years. She wrote: “Goodbye Erin [crying emoji]…so finally the Brassic journey has come to an end (feels so strange saying that) and what an unbelievable seven years it’s been.
“I feel so privileged to have been a small part of such a mighty show. From the moment I read the 1st script I knew this job was going to be special & it definitely was.”
