Abbey Clancy has revealed a strict rule she sets for her husband Peter Crouch when he’s away from their family home.
While diving into the details on their podcast The Therapy Couch, Abbey and former Liverpool star Peter discussed their relationship while tackling listeners’ questions.
During a conversation about things that make them “whine”, the Liverpool born former model confessed she’s fed up with what she perceives as Peter constantly lying.
Before Abbey could share her gripe, the retired footballer made a guess it was about his recent golf outing, an assumption that Abbey then confirmed.
Peter joked that Abbey begrudged him any fun, but she quickly retorted: “I want you to have fun, I know how passionate you are about golf and I want you to enjoy your time and have great times, but my weekly whine is the bare face lying.”
With a touch of jest, she spoke off-camera to their producer Ross about the first day of Peter’s golfing break: “Bearing in mind the first day, he had a golf day before he went to Ireland, I spoke to him at like 9am, and then he came home at 2am, ignored me the whole day.

“We’ve got a rule, I’m like ‘just text me, check in’ bla bla bla.”
In his defence, Peter claimed “she knew” of his whereabouts, prompting Abbey to humorously add, “I was tracking him the whole time.”
Abbey, famed for clinching the Strictly Come Dancing title in 2013, shared that she became suspicious during his golf trip, especially after receiving a 3am response about their son Jack feeling unwell, reports Gloucestershire Live.
She shared: “When he was away Jack had the vomiting bug so he was up all through the night, throwing up so I text Pete at 3am, ‘Jack’s just threw up everywhere’ and he text me back straight away and I was like ‘Why are you awake, it’s 3am?'”

The mother-of-four went on to say that one of her friends whose husband was also on the trip was “last seen” online on his phone at 4am. In response, Peter jokingly branded her “a private detective”, as she continued: “He said he woke up in the middle of the night for a glass of water and just checked his phone.
“So yeah that’s my weekly whine, so if we can possibly refrain from telling lies and just tell the truth.”
The football pundit went on to clarify that he was up “having a good time and drinking” when he lied about being asleep. Sharing his “weekly whine”, Peter said as soon as he got off the plane, he saw an advert which featured Abbey’s face on the side of a bus.
“I’ve got eyes everywhere,” Abbey joked. “And no one wants a bus sized me.”
Calling out another lie he told, Abbey said he also told her he was still in Ireland, when he wasn’t.
“That’s when I had to fly back because we were recording with Rod Stewart,” he explained.
