Helen Flanagan is gearing up for a spectacular return with exciting new projects ahead.
The 34-year-old actress, best known for playing Rosie Webster on Coronation Street, had to pause her theatre role in Cluedo 2 last year due to health issues, but now she’s eager to jump back into acting.
At the recent WhichBingo Awards, Helen revealed her plans: “Acting is my passion, and I have two great projects lined up for next year that I’m really excited about. I just want to focus on getting back into acting.”
Showing her enthusiasm to return to the stage, Helen said, “I really want to do theatre, and I’d love to take on some drama roles.
“There are many things I want to pursue, but I feel like I want to start fresh and focus on theatre before moving forward from there.”

After her memorable time on Coronation Street, Helen hasn’t ruled out a heartfelt return to Weatherfield.
She shared, “I get asked all the time if I’m going back to Coronation Street, and I’d love to come back,” according to the Manchester Evening News.
Helen also addressed false rumors, saying, “I recently read a story claiming I reached out to Corrie bosses and was rejected, but that’s completely untrue.”
Reflecting on her character’s journey, she admitted, “As an actress, it felt like Rosie and I grew up together—I was basically playing myself, though I’d never do the things Rosie did.”

Recalling some unusual plot twists, Helen said, “I remember when they made Rosie really mean and nasty, but I’m actually a soft-hearted person and would never be mean to anyone. That was a bit strange for me.”
Helen first appeared as Rosie, daughter of Sally and Kevin Webster, in 2000, taking over the role from Emma Collinge, who played Rosie from 1990 to 1999.
Rosie was involved in many dramatic storylines, including a rivalry with her younger sister Sophie Webster (played by Brooke Vincent) and a frightening kidnapping by John Stape (Graeme Hawley).

Rosie’s ambition to become a model has been a significant storyline during her time on Coronation Street.
Helen last played Rosie in 2018 and has since appeared on reality shows like Celebs Go Dating, I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, and I’m A Celebrity… South Africa.
The TV star is a proud mother of three children with her ex-fiancé, footballer Scott Sinclair, and is currently in a relationship with Robbie Talbot.
