EastEnders’ Peter Beale has been a constant presence on the popular BBC One soap for an impressive 32 years since his character was first introduced.
Peter made his debut in 1993 as the offspring of Ian (Adam Woodyatt) and Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins), and the twin brother of his late sister Lucy.
Throughout the years, Peter has found himself embroiled in numerous dramatic storylines, including the shocking return of Cindy, who was presumed dead for 25 years.
Thomas Law, who played Peter from 2006 to 2010, thrilled fans when he reprised the role for a second stint in 2023.
In a delightful twist that had EastEnders fans buzzing, Thomas returned to the role as part of Cindy’s explosive comeback storyline. But what about Thomas’ life off the set of Albert Square?, reports Plymouth Live.
The 32-year-old actor hails from Hertfordshire and spent his childhood in Potters Bar with his parents and two older sisters. He shot to fame after landing the role of Peter Beale on EastEnders in 2006.

However, he bid farewell to the BBC soap in 2010, passing the baton to Ben Hardy who portrayed Peter from 2013 to 2015, before Dayle Hudson took over the role for a couple of years in 2020.
During his hiatus from the soap, Thomas continued to flex his acting muscles, appearing in several ITV dramas, including his role as DC Eddie Martin in The Bay from 2021 until this year.
He also made an appearance in Casualty in 2014, and featured in films such as Unhallowed Ground (2015), Framed (2021), and Last Train to Christmas (2021).
After an extended hiatus of 13 years away from the vibrant drama of Albert Square, Thomas managed to keep Walford close to his heart, thanks to a family connection revealed by The Daily Record. At a press event, he shared this adorable tidbit about his family’s involvement with EastEnders.

Thomas opened up, saying: “I was filming another job at the time so keeping it a secret was OK, as I couldn’t tell anyone I was working with there. When you’re working on these jobs, you don’t really get to socialise much anyway.”
He disclosed further: “My mum and sister both work at EastEnders so they found out two weeks into me knowing as they heard a few whispers which they, of course, had to keep a secret too.”
The highly-anticipated emergence of Peter Beale in 2023 marked the first occasion that Thomas rubbed shoulders with on-screen mum Michelle Collins after her exit back in 1998.
Viewers were led to believe Cindy’s story ended in childbirth whilst she was behind bars for taking a shot at Ian. The plot thickened when it was unveiled that she dodged death by enlisting in a witness protection scheme.

On the romance front, sparks are flying in Thomas’ personal life. Rumour has it, he’s been charmed by Taylor Jane, with their love catching fire in 2024.
Gossip mill The Sun dropped hints that things are heating up between Thomas and camera ace Taylor. Whispers suggest the duo made it Insta-official last summer following a string of romantic dates.
The publication gushed, revealing the couple “looked smitten” as they enjoyed a lovely day at Whipsnade Zoo in Dunstable. Apparently unable to hide their joy, Thomas affectionately put his arm around his girlfriend, and the two were all smiles.

The article also noted that Taylor has given a nod to her beau on social media by tagging Thomas in a snap decorated with a red love heart emoji. She’s even made appearances in the comment sections of his recent Instagram posts, showing her support.
Previously, Thomas’ romantic life made headlines when he was linked with former ‘EastEnders’ star Madeline Duggan and with Sofia Carson, the Hollywood actress and singer he starred with in the 2016 American film ‘A Cinderella Story: If the Shoe Fits’, as reported by The Sun.
