The One Show’s Alex Jones interrupts guest during interview after being told to move on

The One Show’s Alex Jones had to swiftly switch topics mid-interview after being prompted by the production team to wind up the conversation.

Returning to our screens alongside Roman Kemp on Monday (28th April), Alex welcomed a star-studded lineup including Elaine Paige, Giovanna Fletcher, and Amanda Holden to BBC One’s The One Show.

Elaine shared anecdotes from her illustrious career, Giovanna spilled the beans on her new podcast venture, and Amanda dished the dirt on her two fresh TV projects.

However, as Amanda chatted about her upcoming Netflix extravaganza, Cheat: Unfinished Business, where she collaborates with love guru Paul C. Brunson of Married At First Sight fame, Alex was nudged to move things along.

Amanda branded her new reality escapade an “absolute rollercoaster” hinting at heaps of “chaos” for Netflix buffs.

Despite Alex’s curiosity to delve deeper, she had to regrettably cut in, admitting: “I’ve got so many questions, but we are being told ‘Move on!'”

A lighthearted chuckle came from Amanda following the nudge, leading Alex to pivot towards discussing The Inner Circle, Amanda’s latest BBC quiz show endeavour, reports the Mirror.

Initiating the quiz chat, Alex said: “There’s a BBC quiz show that you’ve done…,”, with Amanda cheekily retorting: “Oh, the quiz show! Oh, it’s because it’s for the BBC! Who’s upstairs asking?!”

Amanda’s witty remark had everyone in stitches, and the Britain’s Got Talent star went on to spill some beans about her upcoming game show set to debut later this year.

“Yes, I’ve just finished filming. I was thrilled to be asked to do it, because I’ve never thought about doing anything like that before,” Amanda shared excitedly.

She delved into the concept of the show, which delves into “human nature” and challenges winners to either share their prize money or keep it all for themselves.

“It’s called The Inner Circle. It’s a general knowledge quiz. It’s a mix of The Weakest Link, Golden Balls, and other shows. Again, it’s about human nature because at the end you get a pot of money and you’re working with someone. It’s about whether you split, or shaft,” she elaborated.

Amanda then joked; “And it’s general knowledge… I’m like, ‘Why have you got me to host?!’ but, I wore some fabulous frocks!”
