Patsy Palmer’s post-eviction interview turned “awkward” when she dodged questions about Mickey Rourke following her Celebrity Big Brother exit.
The EastEnders star was among three celebrities to leave the ITV show in a shocking triple eviction spectacle on Tuesday (April 22).
Before Patsy’s departure, TV presenter Angellica Bell and The Only Way is Essex star Ella Rae Wise quickly bid their farewells after receiving the lowest number of votes.
Despite being tipped as an early favourite, Patsy exited just shy of Friday’s (April 25) live finale.
Shortly after her eviction announcement, Patsy caught up with presenters Will Best and AJ Odudu, where she discussed her experience in the house, reports the Manchester Evening News.
“I feel like this is like… It just feels so good to be out. But it’s quite overwhelming. But thank you everyone for the reception,” Patsy said.
“To be a part of history, I think this is the first time they’ve ever had a triple [eviction],” she added proudly.
Hosts Will and AJ then addressed Patsy’s run-ins with Hollywood star Mickey Rourke, referencing his criticisms of her culinary skills before his own departure from CBB.
“There were a few tricky moments you had to deal with in there. People complaining about your broccoli, that was one,” Will pointed out.
Patsy remained silent, giving the hosts a look that implicitly requested a topic change.
“You don’t want to talk about the broccoli do you… Absolutely fair enough,” Will acknowledged, respecting her silence.
Faced with yet another unresponsive moment from Patsy, AJ probed: “Did it really upset you when Mickey complained to your face about the food?”
Patsy tersely answered with just four words, stating: “Erm, not really that.”
Viewers quickly took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to voice their opinions on the scene and speculate if there was more to the rivalry.
“Patsy SHUT DOWN that conversation about Mickey without even saying a word. A queen #CBBUK,” one person wrote, with another adding: “What unseen did Mickey do to Patsy. That was awkward #BBUK #CelebrityBigBrother #CBBUK.”
