Jack P Shepherd’s fiancée reveals why he joined CBB and addresses wedding slip-up.

Jack P Shepherd’s fiancee Hanni Treweek wasn’t holding back when she appeared on ITV’s Lorraine to hail her future husband who is currently taking part in Celebrity Big Brother.

So far, the Coronation Street star has had a bit of a rough ride after finding himself up for nomination more than any other housemate.

Hanni appeared on ITV’s Lorraine on Thursday, April 17, speaking to host Christine Lampard, who is currently standing in for usual Scottish star Lorraine during the Easter period.

Speaking about Jack’s journey on the ITV reality series, Hanni gushed to Christine: “I am so proud of him,” as she revealed that the actor had taken part in the show in hope of “making people laugh”.

“I think he’s certainly done that. He and Patsy doing the roles was just iconic,” stated Hanni on-air. Some housemates have complained that the only thing they have learnt about Jack since entering the house is that he’s “getting married in the summer”.

Christine was worried that Jack may have “accidentally revealed” wedding plans without consulting with Hanni first about their upcoming nuptials this July.

The host said: “I don’t know if it was supposed to be a secret because he has certainly put it out there, that you are getting married in the summer, was that intentional do you think?”

Addressing the wedding slip up, Hanni defended: “No, I just think he was having a really natural conversation, it’s already out there that we are getting married in July, so yeah we have plenty to look forward to.”

She added with excitement: “But yeah, we’re getting married.” Christine replied: “That’s so wonderful, so lots of things to be looking forward to when he does eventually get out of the Big Brother house.”

It isn’t the first time that Jack’s fiancee has spoken out during his time in the Big Brother house. Recently, Hanni expressed her gratitude to fans for “saving” her husband-to-be from being evicted.

The actor, who is best known for his role of David Platt having devoted a whopping 25 years to the ITV soap, quickly became a bookies favourite before entering the reality series.

Despite his popularity on the outside, the same couldn’t sadly be said from within the house after Jack found himself up for eviction twice, since his arrival.

Jack did however manage to swerve another early exit from the show when he found himself up against EastEnders Patsy Palmer and TV star Trisha Goddard, with presenter Trisha being the second person to be voted out.

The veteran broadcaster said she was “a bit sad” to be going, but had nothing but positive reflections to share about her experience, as the star opened up on receiving palliative care following a secondary breast cancer diagnosis.

After the latest live eviction, Hanni took to social media to share her gratitude after making another lengthy trip from Manchester to the Garden Studios in West London, in case Jack’s time on the programme was to be up.

She penned: “You’re ALL the best! I can’t thank you enough for taking the time to save Jack.” She added: “SAVED. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank youuuu. We’re so here for more tea, dad dancing, toad in the hole bants & where we love him most, in the diary room. Keep being you Jack, we’re right behind you.”
