Coronation Street fans have watched teenager Brody blackmail Sean Tully and attack his son Dylan. Played by former Hollyoaks star Ryan Mulvey, Brody first appeared on our screens earlier this year.
He is often shown on TV alongside teenager Dylan Wilson, with the two spending time in a Secure Training Centre together. After being in possession of a knife that was involved in the murder of Mason Radcliffe in January, Dylan found himself behind bars for a sentence of six months.
The demands made to Sean have been getting progressively worse, he has already asked him to smuggle a burner phone into prison and in tonight’s episode, viewers watched as Sean received another text with the message “Pay up or Dylan gets his legs broke.”
Sean who is played by Antony Cotton has been on the soap since July 2003. The character shares Dylan with Violet Wilson, and was the result of a deal between the two close friends to have a baby.
This evening, viewers watched as the teenager took a beating at the hands of Brody. Laying on the prison floor, he was repeatedly kicked as vile words were spoken at him.
Brody said “You’re as pathetic as your old man”, prompting Dylan to respond “Look, I’ll talk to him. He’s not got a lot of money.” As the attacker snapped back “Put your violin away. I don’t care mate.”
“That was a warning, next time…” The assault only stopped when a guard walked in and questioned why Dylan was on the floor. Back on the street, Sean asked Glenda if she can lend him £500.
She wondered if he was in some sort of trouble. When George and Eileen discovered that Julie’s collection jar at the factory was empty, George revealed that Sean asked Glenda for £500. Things went from bad to worse, when Dylan turned against his own dad at the end of the episode.

Next week, viewers can watch as Sean attempts to fight back and land Brody in more trouble. In the café a desperate Sean will tell Daniel about the burner phone which he planted in his bag and begs him to try and retrieve it as it could contain the evidence he needs to expose Brody.
Fans of the ITV show were making the same demand on social media tonight. Sylvia posted to X: “Fight back Dylan he’s not exactly a gangster is he little boy acting hard and Shaun wimping it out.”
Mike wrote “Well Dylan you be a punch bag then!!” In a plea to see him be more aggressive and stand up for himself. The sentiment continued as another said: “Why are these characters so utterly pathetic. Dylan just lay there like a jelly & Sean was no better whingeing about not being a grass.”
