“The Real Reason Stacey Solomon’s Mum Was Missing from the New BBC Reality Show”

Fans of Stacey Solomon who’ve been keeping up with her fresh reality TV series will have clocked that her mum is nowhere to be seen on the show.

The former X Factor sensation is now fronting her own BBC programme Stacey and Joe, sharing her bustling household and their family life at their charming home, Pickle Cottage.

Stacey, who became a mum at the age of 17 and celebrated the arrival of her fifth bundle of joy in February 2023, tied the knot with Joe Swash in 2022 and is proud parent to Zach, Leighton, Rex, Rose, and Belle.

At Pickle Cottage, the family is completed by two adorable dogs, Teddy and Peanut, and four ducks, who all come into the frame in some scenes during the series.

Yet, one significant person seems to be suspiciously absent – Stacey’s mum, Fiona. According to MailOnline, this is because Fiona shies away from the limelight, preferring her privacy.

Despite a rare appearance on Loose Women back in 2017, Stacey rarely appears with her mum online, reports the Express. During her stint on the ITV chat show, Fiona opened up about grappling with Stacey’s teenage pregnancy.

She confessed: “I got to a stage where I thought: ‘What have I done, I must have been a terrible mother’. It wasn’t just Stacey, I have another daughter. Both my girls went through teenage years, it really was… tearaways. Stacey was the one who always got into trouble and always got caught. She bunked off school and got detention.”
