Emmerdale Viewers Can’t Believe How Old Paddy Kirk Actor Really Is

Emmerdale viewers have been left absolutely gobsmacked to discover the real age of star Dominic Brunt.

Dominic won hearts as Paddy Kirk, Emmerdale’s endearing vet, having graced our screens since his entry in 1997. It wasn’t long before he became an iconic fixture in the popular ITV soap with his memorable performances.

Over the years, Paddy has been at the centre of countless explosive plotlines including salacious affairs and the devastating death of his child, ensuring there’s never a dull moment in the Dales.

Paddy’s turbulent romantic escapades haven’t gone unnoticed by fans; the character has tied the knot five times, most recently to soap royalty Mandy Dingle, portrayed by Lisa Riley.

But off-screen, fans are just now realizing the actor’s true age. A post on an Emmerdale fan page on Facebook revealed to many that Dominic was born on 15th April 19670, puzzling fans with his youthful look at the age of 54, reports Leeds Live.

One stunned fan commented: “What wait? He’s 54?” while another complimented his unchanged youthful appearance saying: “He still has that same baby face as when he arrived!” Another added: “I know he def looks a look younger.”

Regarding his personal life, the adored TV star is happily married to Joanne Mitchell, who is also familiar to soap aficionados due to her appearances in both Emmerdale and Coronation Street.

Dominic and Joanne crossed paths at drama school in Bristol, eventually walking down the aisle together in 2003. The couple are proud parents to their sons, Mickey-Joe and Danny Lee.

Joanne has had an impressive acting career, with multiple appearances in Emmerdale under her belt.

She’s taken on four different roles in the soap so far, starting with Susan Davies, then a midwife named Yeo.

She then moved on to more complex characters like DS Karen Barnborough and most recently, she portrayed Sandra Flaherty, the mother and stepmother of Liv Flaherty (played by Izzy Steel) and Aaron Dingle (played by Danny Miller).
