I’m a Beauty Editor, and This Is the Best Foundation Stick for Glowing Skin

I’ve been trying out plenty of new foundations, skin tints and tinted moisturisers lately, so it takes something truly special to catch my attention – and I believe that’s exactly what I’ve discovered with this innovative new foundation stick that perfects skin in an instant.

The product I’m talking about is Pixi On-the-Glow Base Foundation Moisture Stick, this new addition to the On-the-Glow line, which also includes blush, bronzer and highlighter sticks. Labelled as a ‘buildable tinted balm’, it retails for £22, comes in 18 shades and is packed with antioxidants and ultra-moisturising skincare ingredients.

Typically, I find foundation sticks too heavy or matte for my liking, but this one is a game-changer, and I’ve found myself reaching for it almost daily since I got it. Here’s why…

Firstly, the stick formula is incredibly easy to apply, making it perfect for on-the-go touch-ups. Its unusually long shade covers the face in just a few swipes, requiring minimal blending (although I still prefer to go over it with my fingers or a brush to ensure it’s fully blended), reports the Mirror.

It’s all about the formula with this gem, coined a ‘foundation moisture stick’, and that description couldn’t be more on point. I’d go as far as calling it a tinted balm. It glides on creamily and leaves skin with a lasting balmy sensation; it’s reminiscent of Jones Road’s popular What The Foundation, straddling the line between skincare and make-up. This is a dream for anyone with normal-to-dry skin who adores a radiant complexion – though perhaps not ideal for those with oilier skin. You also have the option to set it with powder for a matte finish if desired.

The glow this foundation stick imparts is simply divine – think dewy, healthy-looking, and subtly enhanced. With a sheer coverage, it won’t mask intense pigmentation or achieve a completely flawless finish but will enhance your natural beauty with a ‘your skin but better’ vibe.

I often require more coverage than this offers but for an effortless skin pick-me-up – ideal for lazy weekends or when I’m telecommuting – I find myself gravitating towards this clever little stick. If you’re into a minimalist look and a fresh, succulent skin feel, this could well become your new favourite.

For those who prefer their luminosity via light-reflective particles rather than a balmy texture, Charlotte Tilbury’s Unreal Skin Sheer Glow Tint, retailing at £35, might hit the spot. I describe it as ‘Hollywood Flawless Filter in a stick’ in my review.

And for a lightweight foundation that goes the distance, I’ve also been wowed by Milk Makeup’s Hydro Grip Gel Tint, priced at £34, which I’ve reviewed in more detail here.
