Jamie Laing’s Jaw-Dropping Comic Relief Total Unveiled as Star Battles on Stage

Jamie Laing has impressively drummed up over £2 million for Comic Relief with his epic running challenge.

The 36-year-old podcast sensation and Made In Chelsea legend triumphantly hit the finish line in Salford on Friday evening, having kicked off his ambitious 150-mile plus run on Monday morning.

During Friday’s Comic Relief Funny for Money extravaganza, presenters Joel Dommett and Alison Hammond paused the festivities to announce Jamie’s staggering fundraising total.

Before the big reveal, a visibly exhausted Jamie took to the stage, where he needed a bit of assistance from the show’s hosts after enduring his Ultra Marathon.

Alison, 50, expressed her concern: “I was watching you on Instagram and you looked like a broken man! I’ve just seen how you walked out, how’s the body?” to which Jamie candidly replied: “The body’s bad! I should have just taken the train here, way easier!”, reports the Miror.

Before the huge reveal, Jamie appeared on stage where he was seen struggling after his Ultra Marathon

Joel then disclosed the jaw-dropping amount Jamie had collected, a whopping £2,053,835. An overwhelmed Jamie gratefully responded: “Thank you guys, thank you so much!”

Twitter, now X, lit up with admiration for Jamie’s monumental feat, as fans rushed to commend him. A touched fan tweeted: “Jamie Laing deserves the biggest round of applause for running 5 ultra marathons in 5 days with absolutely no training to raise money for comic relief. Absolutely amazing, Well Done Jamie #RedNoseDay #ComicRelief #JamieLaingUltraMarathonMan.”

One fan wrote in admiration: “Having followed his #ComicRelief challenge all week, I feel genuinely proud of everything Jamie Laing has achieved”.

Another praised: “Fair play to Jamie Laing raising 2 million that’s mad #ComicRelief”, and yet another exclaimed: “Over £2,000,000 raised by Jamie Laing. Fair play Jamie. #ComicRelief.”

BBC Comic Relief halted Friday's episode to reveal the incredible total that Jamie Laing has raised during his running challenge

As Jamie kicked off his run from London’s Broadcasting House and completed the gruelling Ultra Marathon Man challenge in Manchester on Friday, a slew of fans were there to celebrate his achievement. The event coincides with Red Nose Day, which is filmed in Manchester. At the finish line, Jamie shared an emotional embrace with his wife and fellow reality star Sophie Habboo.

Jamie previously said he was dedicating the challenge to those who might be suffering, especially from their mental health, referencing his own challenges dealing with “crippling anxiety” in his 20s.

Hosting tonight’s Red Nose Day are TV stalwarts Davina McCall, Joel Dommett, Alison Hammond, Rylan Clark, Jonathan Ross, and Alesha Dixon; a spectacular evening aimed at supporting essential causes across the UK.

The comedy-filled occasion is also set to feature special sketches from beloved BBC shows including Strictly Come Dancing, Gladiators and Beyond Paradise.
