
Jodie Comer said she is honoured to be returning home to Liverpool with her new tour. The Scouse superstar will take her acclaimed one woman show, Prima Facie, on the road in 2026.
The 32-year-old won a Tony award for her role in the play, which follows the character of Tessa, a young barrister who has worked her way up to the top of her game from working class origins. The tour will end with a series of shows at the Liverpool Playhouse from March 17 -21 and Jodie said the hometown shows are the perfect way to bring the curtain down on her stint in the show.
She said: “It is a huge privilege to return to Prima Facie for one last time and take this important play on tour across the UK & Ireland. The resonance of Suzie Miller’s writing, both in London and New York, exceeded anything we could have imagined.
“I’m so thrilled to have the opportunity to get the team back together and take the production to theatres around the country, including my hometown of Liverpool. On a personal note, I can’t think of a better finale to what has been such an incredible and deeply rewarding chapter in my life.”
Jodie has also taken to Instagram to react the incredible news as she said: “We are getting the gang back together and taking this wonderful piece of theatre on the road.
“Myself and the team are all so unbelievably honoured and excited to have this opportunity. Liverpool, Tess and I are coming hoooooome.”
Celebrity followers took to the comments to share their excitement at the news. Stacey Dooley, who has relocated to Merseyside, said: “See you in Liverpool baby.”

The Prima Facie tour will get underway at the Richmond Theatre on January, 23 next year. Before the show comes to Liverpool, Jodie will perform at Dublin, Edinburgh, Cardiff, York, Bath, Canterbury and Birmingham.

Tickets for the performances are going on sale on March 25. Prima Facie is penned by Suzie Miller, who is also delighted about the show going on the road next year.
