Love Island hunk Alex Bowen has opened up about his marriage to Olivia, revealing a major regret that’s been bugging him. The lovebirds, who met on the 2016 series of Love Island, have been going strong, saying ‘I do’ in 2018 and now eagerly awaiting their second bundle of joy. But it hasn’t all been smooth sailing for the couple. Alex, at 33, shared that one of his biggest regrets was a bold move he made early in their romance – getting inked on the reality show Just Tattoo of Us. The MTV hit is notorious for its jaw-dropping tattoo reveals, where couples blindly pick designs for each other.
Unfortunately for Alex, this is one decision he wishes he could take back, as he’s currently undergoing laser removal for the unwanted tat. Looking back at his Love Island days, Alex acknowledges the mixed bag that comes with reality TV fame. “I just wanted a tan and a laugh. I didn’t even know much about Love Island,” he confessed. “But afterwards, you have to be careful what you say yes to. I did MTV show Just Tattoo Of Us [where couples choose a new tattoo for their other half without them seeing]. I got a tattoo that I’m now getting removed.”

Despite the tattoo turmoil, Alex cherishes the life-changing positives from his time on the show, adding, “But thanks to Love Island, I met my wife, I have Abel and another one on the way. That’s the best part of it.”
Despite navigating the minefield of fame, parenting, and their individual business efforts – Alex with his fitness coaching brand Pure 45, and Olivia with her flair for interior design – they’re all about keeping their relationship fresh and fun. “You’ve just got to try and pretend you’re still getting to know each other,” says Alex, highlighting the importance of quality time together.
The power couple’s love story took another delightful turn as they recently announced they are expanding their brood, expecting a sweet baby girl. In a heartfelt post on their socials, the duo, who connected on ITV2’s Love Island, shared a touching video with their fans: “A moment, a love,” they captioned it. “Baby no2 – we’re waiting for you.”

Abel is soon to be a big brother, and the family’s charming dynamic continues to warm hearts. The video, posted on January 6, began with Olivia revealing the positive pregnancy test to a lounging Alex. She also captured Abel in a red sweatshirt emblazoned with ‘Big Brother 2025’ on the back.
The family also shared a heartwarming moment in matching pyjamas by the Christmas tree, proudly displaying their baby scans.
