Cait Fitton marked a special occasion with some co-stars last night
Coronation Street star Liam McCheyne has sent his co-star a message as she celebrates a special occasion. Cait Fitton turns 23 today, the actress has played the role of Lauren Bolton on the Cobbles since 2022.
The Lauren Bolton star celebrated in style yesterday, with a number of co-stars sharing pictures from the special occasion. Among those who celebrated with Cait last night was Sydney Martin. She is known for playing Betsy Swain on the ITV soap drama.
In an Instagram story uploaded this morning, Sydney shared a video of the Lauren Bolton star blowing out candles on a birthday cake as she celebrated her 23rd birthday. She wrote: “This gorgeous girl’s birthday. Couldn’t do life without you!”
Liam McCheyne also took to social media with a picture of his arm around Cait as they posed together for a photo. The actor plays Dylan Wilson on Coronation Street. He wrote: “Wishing a very happy birthday to my best friend @caitfitt0n thanks so much for always being there for the both of us. Celebrated each other’s wins, and you’ve always gave me a shoulder to lean on when needed.
“We’ve cried and laughed (a lot) with countless memories. Hope you have an amazing day, and thanks for a fun night last night (IYKYK).” Cait responded “I love you bean”, and fellow Corrie actor Tony Maudsley added “Happy birthday our Cait!! Hope you have a smashing day, darling!!”
Cait has been involved in some of the soap’s biggest storylines over the past year. The 23-year-old made her debut after being involved in Max Turner’s far-right storyline. She was then at the centre of the drama when she went missing and was presumed murdered, as she became the victim of abuse at the hands of soap villain Joel Deering. Lauren was forced her to flee Weatherfield before returning, pregnant with Joel’s child.
Lauren eventually got revenge when she killed him as he attacked her boyfriend in a train track confrontation before they both threw his body over a bridge and into a canal. Max Turner, portrayed by Paddy Bever, played Lauren Bolton’s boyfriend on the soap.
Cait stunned in a yellow two piece dress as she enjoyed birthday celebrations. She wrote ‘Chapter 23’ as she uploaded a snap from last night to Insagram. Other images show her posing alongside Elle Mulvaney (Amy Barlow) and Harriet Bibby (Summer Spellman).
