Michelle Keegan is set to return to our TV screens on Sunday, March 9 for the new series of Ten Pound Poms. Michelle, 37, stars as nurse Kate Thorne in the BBC show, created by Danny Brocklehurst, which follows people from the UK who migrated to Australia after World War II.
Ten pound Poms also stars Game Of Thrones actress Faye Marsay and Luther’s Warren Brown and series two will follow the cast into 1957 on their adventure Down Under, as they are determined to make this new country everything they hoped it would be for a fresh start.
Michelle has emerged as one of the nation’s favourite actors, with roles in Coronation Street, Fool Me Once, Brassic and Our Girl. Since 2015, she has been married to former The Only Way Is Essex star and TV presenter Mark Wright and at the end of last year, the couple announced they are expecting their first child.
Back in October 2019, Michelle and Mark bought an original mock Tudor mansion for £1.3 million and tore it down to build a new home, the Liverpool ECHO previously reported. It is reported to have cost them £3.5m to complete.
They then documented their home renovation on the Instagram account ‘Wrightyhome’, before finally moving in last year. And the couple often share photos and videos of the stunning home on social media.
Recent posts show a stunning bathroom with marble tiles, his and hers sinks, a free standing bath and their own sauna. Another post showed the amazing view from the mansion at sunrise, surrounded by acres of sprawling countryside.
The post was captioned: “Feel extremely blessed waking up to this every morning and today was extra special. Love a sunrise but also a sunset. You have to choose, sunset or sunrise?”
Friends and family were invited to the couple’s epic housewarming party dubbed “Marchella” back in August 2023. Mark’s best pal and fellow TOWIE star James “Arg” Argent performed with his band, while guests also enjoyed an array of food and cocktails.

The sprawling home features an outdoor swimming pool, and marble decking with steps that lead down to a beautiful landscaped garden. Back in 2022 the couple said: “Our garden means the world to us and we love the outdoors.
”We searched high and low to find the best landscape designers, after realising that there was only one company for us. It’s funny how you can have a dream, tell the professionals and they make your dream bigger than you ever imagined.”

Inside the home has its own a sauna, walk-in wardrobe, and even a bar. The kitchen has a “cappuccino style” marble worktop, while a video shared on Instagram shows a sleek dining room with a long dark table, contrasting cream chairs, and black internal doors.
There is also an impressive gym, where Mark films many workout videos for social media. Former Coronation Street star Michelle has previously opened up on the beginnings of her relationship with TOWIE star Mark.

The 37-year-old told our sister site, Mirror Online, how Mark needed to overcome one important hurdle for their romance to ignite. She said: “I am a massive dog lover. My sausage dog has been with me since I was 21. Until you get your own dog you don’t realise how much love you have for your pets. Mark is a dog person, massively.

“He had to be to even go on a date with me. The most important things in my life are my dogs.” The two have since adopted a dog together with pet Chihuahua named Phoebe.
Announcing their new pet, Mark posed for an adorable photo as he held the Chihuahua inside the front pocket of his hoodie and said: “… I wanted a Doberman”. Michelle quickly replied: “She actually believes she is one though…”
Michelle spoke about the secrets to the success of their romance in the limelight during an interview with the Happy Place podcast. She told host Fearne Cotton that the years have “gone so fast” and said their relationship has such a strong foundation because they are also “best friends”.
Michelle added: “I think we’re really lucky where if I go up north, he comes with me if he can, and same with down south. So we’re based down south but if we travel, we go with each other and I think that really works for us”.
