
A Place in the Sun’s Laura Hamilton has issued a grateful career update. The 42-year-old is renowned for her role as a presenter on the popular Channel 4 programme.
Laura debuted on the show in 2012 and has helped holidaymakers find their dream home in the sun ever since. Laura regularly shares updates from her exciting life in showbiz on Instagram.
A Place in the Sun has recently underwent a major change as the show was moved to a brand new timeslot at 6pm. Laura has taken to social media today to reveal she will be fronting today’s episode as she was grateful to fans for their support since the show moved to a new position on the schedule.
She said: “Fall in love with France… today I’m on @channel4 at 6pm! THANK YOU for all your love and support for the new episodes on each day right now…
She added: “The show wouldn’t be what it is without amazing team who work so hard behind the scenes… OR YOU who watch and support us!”
Laura also confirmed some exciting career news as A Place in the Sun spin off show, What Happened Next, will return to our screens for another season. The shows sees the presenters catch up with house-hunters who previously appeared on the show and found their dream property abroad.
Laura re-shared an announcement to confirm the next season of the programme will return to our screens on March 17 at 6pm. Followers took to the comments to share their excitement after the announcement.

Away from the screen, Laura shares two children with her ex-husband, Alex Goward, who she split from in 2022. The presenter opened up on the breakdown of her marriage in an interview with PA last year as she said: “If two people can’t make it, [can’t] be together, then it’s the best for everyone. I’m a very strong, independent woman and I have been my entire life.
