Robbie Williams’ wife has admitted that she “constantly” worries about him due to his mental health struggles. In the debut episode of Loose Women: The Podcast, panellist Denise Welch spoke to Ayda Field about Robbie’s addiction issues. She has been married to the ‘Angels’ singer since August 2010.
Robbie, who was recently the subject of a film biopic titled Better Man, previously confessed that he “didn’t care” if he died as a result of his addiction, but he thankfully made a change when he entered rehab.
Denise asked whether there had been times during their marriage when he’d relapsed, and if she’d considered leaving. It prompted Ayda to recount a bizarre anecdote about cocaine and Robbie clucking like a chicken.
Ayda said: “Apparently, when there is cocaine in the boom boom room, that is…the chicken comes out, and we haven’t had any farmyard animal incident since, but it was scary. But at that moment, it all came…it was like all the information came clicking towards… Oh my god; this is addiction. This is off the wagon.”

However, she went on to reveal that the moment made her want to take care of Robbie. Ayda said she only wanted to bring the ex-Take That star home and ensure he was safe. Yet, Ayda said that Robbie’s mental health can be a “fine line”, which causes her to worry.
She added: “You know, I think Rob’s mental health is always a fine line. You know, I think in recent years, he’s been the best he’s ever been, but of course, I’m sure in the back of his mind and the back of my mind, is, is this going to happen again? When is it going to happen? How are we going to navigate it?
“You know, now I have kids with this man, so the stakes are even higher, you know, and it’s a very vulnerable position. You are always kind of one eye open, you know. I constantly worry.”
Speaking previously about his addiction, Ayda explained that Robbie’s personality wouldn’t appear to change. However, while he was watching television, he would suddenly be sick.

In January, Robbie appeared on KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O Show in Australia to discuss Better Man. During the show, Robbie explained that he’s had the “longest run of sobriety,” reports the Mail. He also revealed that he’s “deriving joy” from places he couldn’t previously, adding that he’s “loving” his life.
