“ITV Coronation Street’s Joel Deering ‘Living His Best Life’ After Exiting the Show and Leaving the UK”

Coronation Street’s Calum Lill is “living his best life” as he shared an update after his show exit. The soap star is renowned for his role as the villainous Joel Deering in the ITV show.

The character wrecked havoc on the Cobbles in the long-running saga last year that began when Lauren Bolton mysteriously vanished from Weatherfield. Joel was later revealed to have been her abuser who forced the character, played by Cait Fitton, to flee from the Street.

Lauren later got her revenge when she killed the character in dramatic scenes aired last November. The soap star enjoyed a stint in pantomime after his Cobbles exit and continues to update fans from his career in showbiz since his departure.

He has taken to Instagram today to share an exciting new adventure as he has ditched the UK to go travelling around South East Asia. He took to the social media platform to post a short reel from his new adventures alongside fiancée Roberta Mcclaron.

He said: “Day 1 of backpacking around Thailand.” Followers took to the comments and were thrilled after Calum’s update. Hayley said: “Joel is living his best life in Thailand!”

Nicole shared alongside laughing emojis: “So this is what Joel’s up to.” Lucy commented: “I’ve done Thailand 5 times. It’s the best!! Have a good time. Jealous”

Tracy added: “Definitely know that I am going to love each video of this trip, hope that you have an amazing time.” Adam added: “so Joel’s actually not dead???”

Calum proposed to Roberta last year. He took to social media after his show exit to issue a tribute to his partner. He said: “Ah my partner in crime. For the last year I’ve been totally focused on my career which has meant you have come second and I’ve hardly seen you. Some people might have gotten upset or p****d off at this, but you have done nothing but support me in chasing my dream.

“On top of your own job, you’ve looked after our home. You’ve done pretty much all of the cooking & cleaning, all my washing, the pots, the decorating, and you’ve taken it in your stride and never grumbled even on the many days when I was gone before you woke up and got into bed after you were asleep.

“You did this because you knew it’s what I needed and you supported me completely. I’m so grateful to have you in my life and that you agreed to marry me. Thanks for being amazing.”
