“I was up all night thinking if that fire gets to Phoebe’s house. It was just an awful time and its really scary. My heart breaks for all the people who have lost their home.”
Sally was joined on the panel by Robbie Williams’ wife, Ayda Field, who was also really impacted by the fire. She said: “We were there when the fire broke out as my mum is going through cancer treatment.
“It was two days after the Golden Globes and then everything turned so quickly and it was really heartbreaking to watch. When I was 14 I lost my house in the LA earthquakes to when I hear anything like a weather alert I’m triggered.
She added: “I was stressed out and so was Rob.” They panelists were also joined by Brenda Edwards and Ruth Langsford hosted the show.
The panel interviewed Amy Dowden and Carlos Gu about their new show, Reborn, which comes to the M&S Bank Arena on March 29. The dancer spoke about how proud she is to be back on the dancefloor: “I finished the Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour last night, and I was so proud of myself, being able to do 10 shows a week, because I wasn’t sure my body was ever going to be capable of it.”
Amy added: “Every day after chemo, you start feeling strong and better but it wasn’t really until December I was like, ‘Oh yeah, this is what it feels like to have your energy and your strength back,’ And I’m just so proud of how far I’ve come, and only in the last few weeks.”
“I look confident, but I’ve really not been… I’ve spent most nights crying at your [Carlos] house, saying, ‘My body feels different, my dancing’s not as good, I don’t look or feel the same’, But actually, I really feel like Amy again, and I’m so proud of how far I’ve come.”
