Fans were quick to jump into the comments section with waves of congratulations. One follower commented: “This is the best news of 2025. So happy for your little family,” while another said: “Ahhhh! This is adorable news. Congratulations to you and your wife and your gorgeous little girl. She’s going to make a great big sister.”

A particularly thrilled fan said: “Yessss! Wonderful news for a wonderful family. Couldn’t be happier for the three of you”, reports the Mirror.

Zack, who is known by Gladiators fans as Steel, joined the show when BBC bosses rebooted the iconic show last year. Reflecting on his journey with the show, Zack said: “I was inspired by the Gladiators as a child, but never imagined I’d be physically fit enough to be considered a ‘superhuman’.”

“I hope a new generation of fans will look up to me as their new strong, unbreakable hero, Steel.”

He previously held the title of the UK’s Fittest Man in 2020 and ranked highly on the global CrossFit leaderboard.

Zack developed a passion for healthy living at just 12 years old, after feeling self conscious over his weight. Speaking about his journey previously, he told Metro: “My dad could tell I was quite unhappy, I used to try and skip swimming lessons because I was so self-conscious of how I looked and didn’t take my top off.”

“I used to have McDonald’s and KFC three or four times a week, it was a really unhealthy lifestyle,” explained the star, who continued that the family then went on a lifestyle overhaul. “Without saying it, they came on the journey with me, we all cleaned up our diet, we didn’t have chocolate or sweets in the house,” he said.
