The Traitors saw Leanne and Jake take the win on the final night of the BBC show, but fans were left fuming as the ‘real winners’ of the series were revealed
In a gripping finale of The Traitors on Friday night, it was Faithfuls Leanne and Jake who emerged victorious, bagging an incredible sum of £94,600 between them. Yet, there was disappointment for audience favourites Alexander and Frankie, who got banished in the thrilling endgame despite their loyalty as Faithfuls.
Out of the final group, Charlotte stood alone as the last of the Traitors. However, her fate was sealed at the notorious roundtable following the Seer twist which spiced up Thursday’s show. Frankie, after triumphing in the challenge, was given the Seer’s power to unveil one player’s true colours. Her choice fell on Charlotte, unmasking her treachery, and while uncertainty hung over whether the others would trust Frankie’s word against Charlotte’s sly play, ultimately they sided with Frankie.

Tragically for Frankie, Charlotte had claimed she was lying, and because the reveal didn’t happen during the ultimate roundtable, doubts crept in, hastening Frankie’s banishment right before the final hurdle. Alexander faced a similar destiny, being cast aside during the endgame after a tough journey where he found it tough to leave his mark on the crucial last roundtable discussion.
This season marked the first time BBC introduced the Seer twist — an addition that certainly amped up the stakes, although it split viewer opinions. Fans took to social media platforms, with one person noting on X (formerly known as Twitter): “I love it, but I don’t know if I agree with The Seer, as it undoes all the traitors’ hard work in an instant,” reports the Mirror.
With the unexpected elimination of fan favourites Alexander and Frankie just before the finale, viewers flocked to social media to declare their ‘real winners’ of the third series. “So can we agree the real winners of the series?” one fan posted, sharing snaps of Alexander and Frankie alongside Traitors Minah and Linda.

“But the real winners were the icons we made along the way,” chimed in another, posting images of Linda, Minah, and Alexander. A third supporter insisted: “alexander robbed this season of traitors he’s the real people’s winner!”
Former diplomat Alexander certainly had a rollercoaster journey on the show. He missed out on reaching the castle on the first day after volunteering to leave the train. Later, he re-entered the competition in a dramatic twist, alongside Fozia, who had also opted to exit the train early. Jack was another contestant who disembarked but, in a cruel turn of events, didn’t make it back into the game.
Alexander and Fozia’s return sparked distrust among the Faithfuls, with Claudia speculating they could have come back as either a Traitor or a Faithful. Fozia’s time on the show came to an abrupt end after being chosen by Traitors Linda and Minah for the ‘Death Match’ card game.
Although Alexander stayed in the game, suspicions about him being a Traitor persisted among many of the Faithfuls. Despite his efforts to clear his name, Alexander was ultimately unable to secure victory.
However, fans were less than pleased. One disgruntled viewer took to X to vent: “Alexander I am sorry these people can’t be trusted, I am contacting ofcom,” while another chimed in with: “They just didn’t deserve Alexander.”
