The Real Reason Behind Kelly Rowland’s Today Walk-off Is Revealed—She Was Reportedly “offended” by Savannah Guthrie’s “disrespectful prying.”

KELLY Rowland has walked off the set of Today for a different reason than originally thought.

A source first said that the singer left the morning show over dressing room concerns, but now another is blaming a question that she was uncomfortable with answering.

Kelly Rowland walked of the set of Today on Thursday because she was offended by Savannah Guthrie's questions on Beyonce while talking about her new music and movie

Savannah asked Kelly what she thought of Beyonce's turn to country music, but she reportedly got fed up when the host continued to talk about her ex-bandmate
Kelly, 43, storming off the set of Today on Thursday was due to Savannah Guthrie’s inquiry over Beyonce, according to The Wrap.

It was first reported that she and her team didn’t find her dressing room “up to par.”

However, an individual who knows of the situation told the outlet differently.

“Kelly was offended that Savannah repeatedly and aggressively asked her about Beyoncé,” they told the outlet.

The source said that is why Kelly walked off.

“The story was spun that Kelly didn’t like her dressing room, but she has been on the Today show numerous times, she and her team know the dressing room set up. That would not come as a surprise at all,” they went on.

“Kelly was upset about Savannah’s aggressive questioning about Beyoncé. She and her team were not happy and felt disrespected.”

THE INTERVIEW

Kelly stopped by Today for an interview with Savannah, 52, to talk about new music and her upcoming film, Mea Culpa.

The new legal thrilled will drop on Netflix on February 23.

In the movie, Kelly stars as a criminal defense attorney working on a murder case.

After Savannah asked the actress a few questions about Mea Culpa, the morning show played a clip of Kelly performing on the plaza with Destiny’s Child in 2001.

“What do you think when you look at that?” Savannah asked the singer.

“That was so long ago, I’m 43 now,” Kelly responded.

Savannah asked Kelly if she was working on new music, which she revealed she was and then the host pivoted the conversation to Beyonce, 43.

Kelly was in Destiny’s Child with Beyonce and Michelle Williams.

“What do you think about your friend Beyonce?” Savannah asked.

“She’s like your sister, you guys literally grew up together – she’s stepping into country.”

Kelly simply replied that she was “so proud of her.”

Pushing for more about the Texas Hold ‘Em singer’s turn to country music, The Today host added, “I know, but were you surprised and what do you think about it?”

Kelly reiterated that she was proud of Beyonce and added that she was “happy for her.”

Since Kelly didn’t give Savannah anymore more information, the host went back to talking about Mea Culpa.

Viewers of the Today Show blasted Savannah online and said they were tired of everyone always bringing up Beyonce in front of her ex-band members.

“Very disrespectful to ask as accomplished entertainer as @KELLYROWLAND about Beyoncé every freaking time she comes on your show,” one fan tweeted.

“Will yall PLEASE quit asking @KELLYROWLAND about Beyonce. She’s clearly there to promote her endeavors!” another begged.

BAILING ON HODA

Kelly was supposed to co-host Today with Hoda and Jenna that day, due to Jenna Bush Hager’s absence.

However, she left before the show started, leaving Hoda Kotb in a lurch as the show reportedly scrambled to find another co-host.

Rita Ora eventually stepped in just in time to save the day.

An insider at Page Six originally reported that Kelly and her team were not happy with the dressing rooms so they left.

“Kelly and her team were not happy. They did not like the dressing room, so they decided to pull her off the show, leaving [Hoda] without a guest host for the 10 a.m. hour,” they said.

Her team reportedly staged a game of “musical dressing rooms,” and and wanted to be in an upstairs green room because “they didn’t like the one she was in.”

However, Jennifer “JLo” Lopez, 54, was already in that room, having arrived earlier than Kelly to promote her own album and film, This is Me… Now.

“They’re not nice. It’s the oldest building. There are major space limitations, [it’s] not glamorous. It’s not fresh flowers, and candles and gourmet food. It’s basically [a] white box,” one source originally claimed, describing the dressing rooms at the studio.

The insider claimed that different rooms were offered to Kelly, but, “They didn’t want that. [The show] basically offered up as much as possible, but they weren’t happy with it, so they walked and they left.”

On Monday, Hoda, 59, broke her silence on the matter and said that she wanted Kelly to come back any time.

“She can share my dressing room,” she said.

“We’ll be in there together.”
