Holly Willoughby’s hair stylist used this £66 hair tool for her signature wavy bob on Dancing on Ice

Holly Willoughby is known for her iconic wavy blonde bob, and her hair stylst has shared how you can recreate her signature waves at home using the same hair tool

As the new series of Dancing on Ice gets underway, Holly Willoughby has made her return as co-host, dazzling in an icy blue beaded dress and her signature bright blonde bob. Fans will know that Holly’s hair is typically styled in loose waves, with one side tucked behind her ear.

If you’ve ever wondered how to recreate this look, Holly’s hairstylist Ciler Peksah has given a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the process. On Instagram, Ciler revealed she uses Mermade’s Aircurl styling wand, priced at £66, along with a range of affordable styling products.

The Mermade Aircurl uses air instead of direct heat to style your hair, protecting it from unnecessary damage. It can be used on both damp and dry hair – just ensure your roots are dry and the ends are 90% dry before letting the Aircurl work its magic.

The device comes with a 32mm barrel and 360° airflow for even curls and waves. It also features ionic technology to combat frizz and a ceramic barrel for long-lasting hold.

Besides creating curls, the Mermade Aircurl can also shape, volumise and create loose waves like Holly’s. The styler is comfortable and easy to hold, with a slim handle and heat-resistant tip for easier styling.

Customers are absolute fans of the Aircurl, with one sharing their joy: “I got this air curl as a gift for my birthday as I wanted it for months. I really love it! The curls last 2 -3 days and they give my hair volume and a really natural look. I get them done very quickly and my hair doesn’t get burnt! You should try it. It’s really different from all the other curlers I have ever used.”

Another was simply ecstatic about the volume, exclaiming: “The volume is sooo much more than a usual curling tong or hair dryer!! Love!”

Meanwhile, on Beauty Bay, where the Mermade Aircurl can also be found, a shopper compared it to a high-end device, saying: “This air curler is everything and more. It’s literally a dupe of the Dyson air wrap and I’m happy to share that I stopped using my Dyson now. The Mermade one is so much lighter, so I don’t have the arm ache anymore. The air curler head works with my interchangeable blow dry brush too which I also adore. The heat isn’t too high, so my hair doesn’t get too frizzy.”

However, there was some less satisfied reviews, with one customer noting: “Not great for mid length hair – I can barely get it to make dents that last, let alone the movement advertised.”

If you’re blessed with longer locks, LookFantastic has a deal on the Beauty Works Professional Styler which slashed it to £52.45 down from £69.99. The curler boasts an extra-long barrel perfect for creating cascading waves and curls, and a ceramic coating to fend off frizz, complete with adjustable heat settings from 80-220°C.

In other news, ghd has knocked £40 off the price of its Curve Creative Curl Wand Christmas Gift Set. Originally retailing at £169, it’s now available for just £129 – a total steal considering the entire set is worth £192.45, reports the Mirror.
