5ive star Abz Love unrecognisable with face tattoos after shocking drug addiction battle

5ive star Abz Love looks completely different more than two decades after the band split – with the Keep On Movin’ singer revealing he feels “younger now than ever”

5ive’s Abz Love has wowed fans with his incredible transformation as he flaunted a chiselled physique and abs to die for. The 45 year old heartthrob revealed he feels “younger now than ever” – even more so than during the peak of his fame with the band two decades ago.

Taking to Instagram in 2021, Abz shared a snap of himself in a black vest top that put his incredible fitness transformation on full display. Speaking to The Sun four years ago, he expressed his newfound zest for life, saying he’d got things back on a good course. “It’s been quite a few years, but I’ve now got things back on track and I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been in,” he shared. He continued, “I feel younger now than I did in the band 20 ago.”

The ’90s icon also opened up about being in a “brilliant place” mentally, having overcome his past struggles by finding a healthy balance with good food, sleep, and regular workouts. He elaborated, “Mentally I’m in a brilliant place and all my troubles are behind me. For me, it’s all about balance, eating and sleeping well and regular exercise,” reports the Mirror.

In 2013, Abz candidly discussed the lows he felt after 5ive, whose hits included Keep On Movin’, We Will Rock You and Everybody Get Up. “My drug addictions were spiralling. I was taking ketamine, MDMA, coke and weed, as much as I could,” he told OK!.

Meanwhile back in 2020, the 5ive star spilled his fitness secrets alongside the topless picture on social media, crediting a consistent routine and diet for his success.

The pandemic prompted Abz to take control of his health, setting a goal to reclaim his abs, which he proudly announced he’s achieved: “I got my abs back. It’s mad what a consistent amount of exercise and most importantly a great diet can do! When lockdown started I challenged myself to get my abs back and safe to say I’ve smashed it!

“I’ve been using the amazing plans from @dotheunthinkableuk to help me get back in shape and I honestly couldn’t recommend them enough. They make eating better and losing weight easier than I ever thought possible!”

Away from his music career, in 2015 he starred in his own reality show Country Strife: Abz on the Farm which aired on the BBC. More recently, in 2022 he appeared on Celebs Go Dating where he turned to the agency after failing to find love and admitted that he was ready to settle down with someone special.
