Caroline Flack’s heartbroken friends address mum’s questions over day she took her own life

Caroline Flack’s friends are said to be ‘devastated’ after the late Love Island presenter’s mum asked why her friends left her alone on the night she died

Caroline Flack’s inner circle is reeling from shock as her mother, Christine Flack, poses some heart-wrenching questions about the night her daughter passed away. With the fifth anniversary of the much-loved TV presenter’s death approaching, a new Disney+ documentary will feature Christine questioning the events leading up to Caroline’s final 24 hours and whether her death could have been avoided.

She specifically queries why Caroline’s dear friends, Louise Teasdale and Mollie Grosberg, left her by herself in her apartment on the night she died, especially since they had expressed concern for her well-being following an earlier suicide attempt. The documentary has sparked outrage, with MailOnline reporting that Caroline’s friends are upset by the implication that they were responsible for her care.

A close friend of Louise reportedly stated: “Why was it down to Caroline’s friends to look after her? Where was her family? Louise had to get back to her young daughter, she couldn’t stay any longer.”

This friend added: “They had been with Caroline for hours and hours and they tried to get her to go to hospital but she wouldn’t. They remained at her flat to make sure she was OK but they couldn’t stay there indefinitely, so they went. It is devastating that they now have Caroline’s mother blaming them. Christine was once so close to Lou but not any more.”

Caroline’s dear friend Mollie has been vocal about the fact that she’ll never fully recover from the events of that fateful evening. A source revealed: “She was a good friend to Caroline. She would have done anything for her,” reports the Mirror. OK! has contacted Caroline’s friends’ representatives for comment.

The quest for justice by Christine, who is tirelessly striving to uncover the truth, has made progress with the Independent Office for Police Conduct calling on the Metropolitan Police to revisit their investigation into the tragic television personality’s case.

A police official present during Caroline’s arrest in 2019, which preluded her taking her own life, could share more details as the watchdog suggests the Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards re-interview him. This officer allegedly played a part in challenging the Crown Prosecution Service’s original decision to caution Caroline for the assault on Lewis Burton and wasn’t initially obliged to provide evidence for police conduct inquiries since he had retired — though he’s now back on duty.

Christine, informed last month of these developments, declared resolutely: “We won’t stop until we get the truth.”

Last year, the Met extended an apology to Caroline’s family for neglecting to document the rationale behind countering the CPS’s caution.

Christine expressed her concerns, stating: “Something very unusual happened to Carrie at the police station that night, but no one kept a proper record explaining why. I have now made a complaint to compel the officer to give the statement we think he should have given four years ago. As a family, we have been left with important unanswered questions.”
