Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were reportedly left in a “panic” after a “disaster” scene in Family Guy saw a parody of the couple make a savage dig at them
A parody of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in the animated show Family Guy reportedly sent the couple into a state of alarm. The episode featured a scene where the pair are depicted relaxing by a pool, with a butler bringing them their “millions from Netflix for… no one knows what.”
The cartoon Harry says, “Put it with the rest of them”, while ‘Meghan’ instructs him: “Babe, time to do our daily $250,000 sponsored Instagram post for Del Taco.” At the time, sources claimed that the portrayal had deeply affected the Sussexes, leaving them eager to set the record straight.
An insider alleged: “What’s hit them hardest and cuts the deepest of all is that it plays up the whole notion they’re self-entitled grifters or spoilt brats. Meghan said she won’t be humiliated like this and is desperate for a solution. They’re in full panic mode.”
These informants also suggested that the Sussexes realised they were losing favour with their US audience, noting that “the tides have turned against them in America”, reports the Mirror.
Despite not wanting to “beg for anything” from the Royal Family “after everything that’s happened,” Meghan reportedly hoped that Harry could mend his relationship with his father, King Charles, and his brother Prince William. A source told Closer: “Meghan has distanced herself from the furore for months, but now she’s giving Harry an ultimatum and demanding that he do whatever it takes to fix things.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Harry and Meghan, celebrated Christmas in their Montecito home in California with their children Archie and Lilibet, and Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland. In a heartfelt interview with Marie Claire, Meghan opened up about their festive celebrations since moving to the US.
She expressed her love for the holiday season, saying “every year it gets better” as her children grow older and begin to grasp the festivities. Meghan shared her excitement: “At first, I think as a mum with children, you’re just enjoying having them there, but they’re not understanding everything that’s happening yet. But now we’re at the age where I just can’t wait to see it through their lens every year.”
Discussing Thanksgiving, Meghan revealed: “We’re always making sure we have something fun to do. Like any other family, you spend time having a great meal, and then what do you do? Play games, all the same stuff, someone brings a guitar-fun.”
