Christine McGuinness has shared the plans she and ex Paddy have in place for Christmas, as they continue to live together in their family mansion despite their divorce
TV personality Christine McGuinness, 36, has revealed her Christmas plans following her split from comedian Paddy McGuinness, 51. The couple, who announced their “difficult decision” to separate in July 2022 after 11 years and three children together – twins Leo and Penelope, 11, and Felicity, eight – have decided to put their kids first this festive season.
Speaking to Woman’s Own, Christine said: “The last thing we want to do is upset our children over Christmas, so we’ll make sure we’re all together,” adding that it will be a “it will be a quiet one. We always try to keep it quiet, because the children can get quite overwhelmed with the changes. So we try to keep it like a normal day but with presents.”
Despite their separation, the former couple still live together in their lavish home. Paddy told the Mirror earlier this year: “If someone didn’t know our situation and came to our house and they spent the day with us, they would not have a clue [we were not together],” explaining that they continue to co-parent and live together amicably.
The couple are also seeing other people, and while they’re supportive, they try not to get too involved in each other’s romantic lives. Christine revealed: “We don’t discuss it an awful lot, as we’re trying to be respectful to each other,” while Paddy added: “If Christine met someone else, I’d be supportive. For now, we’re happy with how things are, living together and helping each other balance work and kids,” reports the Mirror.
Paddy also confessed that he’s not in a hurry to move on too quickly, despite being back on the dating scene. “I tried a couple of dates last year. After 12 months of adjusting to life on my own, I felt I should give it a try rather than really wanting to. For now, I’m happy being single,” he admitted in April.
