Celebrity Race Across the World star Jeff Brazier, 46, is alleged to have split from his wife, PR guru Kate, 35 – and indeed in recent TV appearances he had ditched his wedding ring. The star, whose ex Jade Goody, the mother of his grown-up children Freddy and Bobby died of cancer in 2009, is believed to have ‘grown apart’ from Kate during what’s been a very difficult year.
Just hours ago, Kate posted a cryptic quote on her Instagram stories which simply read, “Just an update: SIX PLANETS ARE IN RETROGRADE. That’s why.”
Over the weekend, while Kate was in Las Vegas to enjoy the US Grand Prix, Jeff posted a cryptic message with a picture of a view from his new home, alongside the caption, “I’ve escaped back to the countryside” as he spoke about “living in calm” and “a transitional time in all our lives”.
And as he did a report for ITV ‘s Good Morning Britain from Reykjavik in Iceland on Tuesday morning, a smiling Jeff’s wedding ring was glaringly absent.
Though they still follow each other on Instagram, neither has posted about the other in months. Kate last posted about Jeff on her grid in May 2024, for his 45th birthday – while Jeff posted a golf getaway with his other half back in July.
Four days ago, Kate posted an emotional tribute to her late pooch with an emotional post in which she admitted, “There is not a single morning I wake up or night i go to bed without thinking about her. One of my hardest seasons of life, but forever grateful to have been her mum.”
According to a source in the Sun, Kate moved out of their shared marital home a few weeks ago, and is now back living in her apartment in Hackney.
In a selfie from her recent Vegas trip, where she shared a video of a woman having a lap dance onstage at the famous Caesar’s Palace in Sin City, Kate seemed to have replaced her wedding band with another ring.
In the snap from her trip without Jeff, Kate wrote: “Possibly one of the best days of my life.”, before reposting a telling video “recap of 2025” with a clip of Johnny Depp saying: “What the f*** was that.”
It has been an undoubtedly tough year in terms of Jeff’s youngest son Freddy, who in June kicked off rumours of a rift with his stepmum in a TikTok video.
In it, he listed things he hates, one of them being, “Step parents.” Others included: “My overthinking, bullies, I’m easily manipulated, my family issues.” Freddy told his followers: “I don’t know how to love because I’ve never been loved.”
In March of this year, his dad launched legal action to block Freddy from seeing his gran, Jade’s mum Jackiey Budden, 68, claiming she was a bad influence on his son. He backed down from legal action in August, but it has believed to cause strain between him and Freddy.
Meanwhile, Freddy, who just a day ago admitted he had tried to ‘end it all’ during a manic episode in 2023, made the bombshell announcement earlier this year that he was set to become a dad with his influencer girlfriend, Holly Swinburn – with their new arrival expected in the new year.
In posts about his country home, Jeff seemed to be in very reflective form and hinting at big changes in his life. In one he wrote, “I realised some time ago that success equals peace and I’ve found the perfect environment for what feels like a transitional time in all our lives.”
In another he penned: “Things don’t just change on their own, we have to design the life we want.”
Jeff and Kate began dating in 2013 before getting married in 2018. They split briefly at the end of 2022, something which was said to be down to Kate’s love of socialising and Jeff being a homebird at heart.
