Nick Knowles and his wife Katie Knowles have marked a special occasion this week as they celebrated their anniversary together. The couple have had a difficult time in recent months after Katie underwent life-saving surgery.
In July, Katie had her first televised interview with Christine Lampard on Lorraine as she opened up about her health struggles and having a hysterectomy at 35, in what was a difficult couple of weeks. Nick Knowles also spoke to Lorraine about his wife’s bravery.
Nick told Lorraine: “She has had a massive operation, not long after being married and full hysterectomy, which she’s been very public about trying to help people along the way.
“We’ve got hundreds of thousands of people sort of paying attention to her journey through that. And then she had a setback last week and she had to go in for a second really tough operation.”
On Instagram yesterday, Katie and Nick shared a selfie together. They captioned the post: “Six years of us! Happy anniversary my love”, alongside two red love heart emojis.
Katie and the DIY SOS star tied the knot on June 7, in a luxurious wedding at Braxted Park, Essex. At the time, they shared a series of sweet photos and clips on Instagram from their happy day together.
The couple began dating in 2019 after they met when their children became friends at a play centre and got engaged in 2023. In a recent update, Katie took a picture of her and Nick at the Pride of Britain Awards on October 20.

She captioned the image: “3 weeks after having a huge operation and I’m out and about with a full face of makeup on, and a proper dress and heels. Let’s just see how long I last before I’m back in my pyjamas.”
Katie has also spoken about the personal impact the operation has had on her. She opened up on perimenopause and surgery recovery, saying: “Perimenopause isn’t just about hot flushes. It’s a quiet storm in your own head and body.
“It’s waking up after broken sleep, already exhausted. Crying in the shower so no one can hear, feeling like a stranger in your own skin. The depression hits hard, not a passing sadness, a heavy, soul-sucking fog.
“A weight on your chest, a voice that whispers you’re falling even when you’re doing everything you can just to hold it together.”
Messages of support have been sent the way of Nick and his wife after the relationship update. One comment said: “Lovely couple, happy anniversary to you both” and another said “Love you two looks like you have lots of fun happy 6 years together.”
Other replies included: “Wishing you continued love and happiness” and “Happy anniversary to you both, you’ve been through a lot but it makes you stronger each time.”
