Louise Redknapp has shared a special family update as she said “words cannot describe”. The former Eternal singer regularly shares updates from her happy family life on Instagram. Louise shares two children, Beau and Charley, with her former husband, Jamie Redknapp.
The two divorced in 2018 and Louise started a new relationship with her partner, Drew Michael in 2023. In a recent post on social media, Louise shared a special message to celebrate her son Beau’s 17th birthday.
She shared a carousel of adorable snaps of herself and Beau, with the heartfelt caption: “To my special baby boy words cannot describe how proud I am of you!
“My favourite times are being in the car singing at the top of our voices as I take you to football training, I love your approach to life and how you throw yourself into everything, good luck in all you have got coming your way, you’re charming, you’re fun and full of kindness and I’m so proud be your mum! Happy Birthday Beau Beau. Love Mum xxx.”
Louise’s followers rushed to the comments to send lovely messages wishing Beau a happy birthday. One said: “Nice to know I’m not the only ones who’s kids tower over me [laughing face emoji]. Happy Birthday to your baby boy x.”
A second said: “Yay happy birthday” while a third wrote: “Happy birthday handsome young man, Jamie’s double.”
It’s been a big year for both Beau and his older brother, as Charley turned 21 earlier this year. Jamie Redknapp hosted a special party for his eldest son, while Louise wrote on Instagram at the time: “How did this happen?! My baby is 21 years old today!!!”
Louise lived in Liverpool with her former husband, Jamie Redknapp, in the 1990s. In a previous interview with the ECHO, she revealed how she still considers Merseyside “home”.
She told the ECHO: “I lived here for a long time so it’s a little bit of a home from home. It means a lot to me. It’s a city that I always feel very comfortable coming back to.”
The 51-year-old has been dating businessman Drew Michael since 2023. She regularly shares updates from their happy relationship on social media, such as when they attended Glastonbury Festival last year.
Louise discussed her romance with Drew in an appearance on Lisa Snowdon and Andy Goldstein’s podcast, We’re Not Getting Any Younger, earlier this year. She said: “I’ve got a boyfriend whose great and lovely. I’m just having a really nice time.”
Louise laughed that the two get regularly photographed together by paparazzi since Drew lives in a busy part of Central London. She added: “He lives in Soho so we go to the bagel shop and [getting photographed] is a thing.
“Gone are the days of the side ponytail and the dirty tracksuit to run up and get a tuna bagel. I just made a decision that I don’t want to hide anything. I just go about my business and if I get snapped, I get snapped.”
Louise revealed Drew is nine years younger than her, but said this hasn’t led to any issues in their relationship. When Lisa revealed her partner is seven years younger than her, Louise asked: “Is that alright? Talk to me about it.”
Lisa revealed the age gap with her partner is no issue at all, adding: “It doesn’t feel that big of a gap, now we’re at the age we’re at. Especially because [Drew] must be mature and must be good conversation, stable and kind.”
Louise agreed and revealed it is also special to her how Drew has formed a close bond with her two children, Beau and Charley. She added: “He’s great with my boys. He’s a great friend with them. The tone is just right. He’s just a really great guy, I feel very lucky to have met him.”
