Abbey Clancy has revealed an “embarrassing” incident where she and her husband, Peter Crouch, felt “ostracised” abroad. The revelation came during a recent episode of The Therapy Crouch podcast, where Abbey and co-host Peter jokingly discussed a time when they tried to “fish around” for an invitation to their neighbour’s party.
Peter disclosed that at the time of the event, their neighbour had a band playing while Abbey and Peter were having a barbecue, but it appears they didn’t mind. In fact, they even lowered their own music so they could listen in.
They reminisced that the band might have been a Kings Of Leon tribute act, as Abbey (who recently gave a glimpse into their marriage) recalled them standing on their chairs and belting out the band’s popular song, Sex on Fire, as they peered over the fence.
It was then jokingly suggested that they thought they “might be up for an invite”, leading former footballer Peter to share what he and his wife described as an “embarrassing” tale from a trip to Mexico.
He said: “Mind you, we did that in Mexico, didn’t we? You remember when we did that in Mexico?” Abbey responded that it was “highly embarrassing”. Peter continued: “That was embarrassing; left our light on and started dancing to the music that was going on on the beach.
Abbey said: “We were sending them bottles of champagne to the beach so we’d get an invite, just ’cause it looks so much fun, and we’ve been on our own for two weeks together and like…”, to which it was pointed out that it “worked”.
She added: “Yeah, but people…we were severely ostracised; no one would talk to us”. However, Peter revealed that the party had been Brazilian, so the people in attendance were speaking a “totally different language”.
In other news, Abbey spoke candidly over the summer about the possibility of having another child with Peter, her husband since 2011.
Chatting to the i Paper, the 39-year-old model confessed that Peter is “going to leave” if she brings “one more breathing thing” into their home, be it animal or human.
Abbey, who has four children, Sophia, Liberty, Johnny and Jack, said: “I would definitely have another baby but Pete’s like, ‘no way’. I think I’m too old but I just love them, and my daughter Liberty is obsessed with babies as well.
“Pete said if I bring one more breathing thing into our house – animal or human – he’s going to leave. He was like, ‘We’ve got two cats, two dogs, a pony and four kids. I mean, enough is enough.”
In a further admission, Abbey also claimed that her husband isn’t a fan of her when she’s pregnant.
In fact, Abbey alleged that Peter thinks she’s “psychotic” and is unsure if he’d “survive” a new pregnancy.
