Coleen Nolan has welcomed another grandchild as her daughter Ciara Fensome has given birth. The Loose Women panellists’ daughter gave birth to a baby boy yesterday evening, October 30. The family announcement comes just over a year after Ciara became engaged to her partner Maxx Innes.
The grandson is Coleen’s third grandchild, as she is already a nan to her son Shane Jr’s daughter Amelia, who arrived in 2016, and to her younger son Jake’s baby boy, who was born in November last year.
Ciara shared a photo to social media last night at 7pm announcing the birth. She shared to Facebook and Instagram: “Sidney Ray Innes, 29/10/2025, 9lb 10. So proud of all 3 of us. I have carried him for 9 months but Max you have carried us all this whole time.”
Loose Women and Waterloo Road star Denise Welch said: “Ciara! He’s amazing! And not taller than you! Thrilled for you” and broadcaster Saira Khan added: “Oh my god guys! Congratulations- so happy for you – the coolest parents on the planet! Can’t wait to visit and have a cuddle.”
At the end of August, Coleen has shared a video on social media of her daughter’s baby shower. The former singer announced back in July that she was going to be a nan again. Her eldest son, Shane, is also expecting a child with his partner Kim.
After Ciara announced her pregnancy, Coleen spoke about her future plans to build her own nursery in her home to make space for her grandchildren to come and stay.
The 60-year-old, who has sons Shane, 36, and Jake, 32, from her first marriage to EastEnders actor Shane Richie and Ciara with her second husband Ray Fensome, told Bella magazine about the past year: “I started therapy after my sister Linda passed away. I was really in a bad place.
“I just lost my mojo, I didn’t want to do anything. I didn’t want to go back to work and put a face on and smile and be funny. I was doing everything on autopilot.
“My management were telling me all these amazing things I was being offered and I just thought, ‘I don’t care.’ I was so overwhelmed and just needed help.”
She added: “Therapy is absolutely the best thing I’ve ever done, I still go now. I’ve got a beautiful family, my sisters and brothers, nieces and nephews, my own kids, but they were all grieving as well. I just needed someone that I didn’t have to be strong in front of. Obviously I still miss Linda, but I’m in a really good place.”
Coleen has been a recognisable face on our TV screens for more than two decades. She has appeared on several popular programmes including Dancing on Ice, I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! and Celebrity Big Brother.
She often shares updates from her personal life to social media, keeping fans informed about what she gets up to when the camera isn’t rolling.
