Coronation Street’s Kit actor confirms a real-life romance with a fellow soap star.

Coronation Street’s Jacob Roberts, who portrays Kit Green on the popular ITV soap, has seemingly confirmed his new romance with a fellow Corrie colleague.

Jacob joined the cast last year as Kit Green, the estranged son of Bernie Winter (played by Jane Hazlegrove). And it’s fair to say it didn’t take the bent copper long to cause some trouble and ruffle some feathers.

His character quickly became embroiled in drama, from discovering he has a secret son, Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey), to being left for dead after a stabbing incident.

Despite the tumultuous storyline, Jacob’s career is flourishing, and it appears his personal life is following suit.

Reports suggest that Jacob is now romantically involved with someone he met on the Coronation Street set. The actor recently made his relationship with Corrie PR Caitlin Connolly Instagram official.

Jacob seemed to confirm their relationship with a sweet selfie posted on his Instagram Story. In the photo, Jacob and Caitlin are seen posing together, with Jacob adding a love heart emoji to the snap, reports the Daily Star.

Discussing their alleged romance, an insider told The Sun: “They’ve been together for a while now, it’s very sweet. They seem besotted with each other and it’s been an open secret they’re an item for quite a while.” Reach has contacted Jacob’s representatives for comment.

Jacob’s new ‘romance’ comes after he split with his ex, PR Amy Harris after five years together. The soap star fuelled separation speculation last year by erasing all traces of Amy from his Instagram grid, a move that Amy mirrored in October 2024 – seemingly confirming their split.

There could be another death on the way on Coronation Street

Meanwhile Jacob isn’t the only soap star to ‘find love’ on the cobbles. His co-star Jack P. Shepherd met his now-wife Hanni when she worked as a storyline writer and researcher.

Going from strength to strength, they got engaged in June 2024 after six years of being together. And in July this year, Jack and Hanni tied the knot.

The pair exchanged vows at Manchester Cathedral, with guests including Lucy Fallon, Tina O’Brien and Julia Golding as well as close friend and best man Colson Smith and groomsman Ben Price, not forgetting Jack’s on-screen mum Helen Worth.
