Georgia Bell has shared a relationship update with social media followers. The Gogglebox star was proposed to by her partner Josh Newby this month and she shared the magical moment with fans yesterday, October 14.
While on holiday together in Dubai, Josh popped the question while they were sailing on a boat. Georgia was wearing a white dress and sunglasses and her partner had a black and white striped shirt on for the special moment. A video posted by the Channel 4 star showed the moment as it happened.
At the front of the boat, Josh took to one knee as Georgia covered her mouth in shock as she burst into tears, before saying yes and taking the ring. A photo of the couple holding hands and flashing the ring was uploaded alongside the video.
Georgia captioned the post: “14.10.25. YES YES YES! Officially in our fiancé era. A memory to remember for a lifetime.” Georgia is a Gogglebox favourite after appearing on the show since season 12 when she joined best friend Abbie Lynn.
The armchair critic has close to 100,00 followers on Instagram and regularly shares updates about her life away from the screen. She welcomed her first child Hugh in July 2022 with Josh.
The couple have been together since 2018Â and their second son, Ralphie, arrived in November 2024. They also have a dog named Vinnie. After the announcement of the engagement, the couple have received messages of congratulations.
Gogglebox’s Sophie Sandiford said: “Congratulations! that’s amazing news” and Abbie Lynn added “Ah just beautiful. Massive congratulations to you both! So happy, lots of love.”
The Gogglebox Malone family wrote: “Such lovely news, congratulations to you all”, while Jenny and Lee from the Channel 4 channel programme said “Congratulations to you both wow great news much love to ya.”
Fans replied: “May you find it as easy to stay in love as you did to fall in love sending many congratulations your way god bless” and “Congratulations! Cannot describe how over the moon I am for you both.”
Abbie and Georgia, who appear on the Gogglebox sofa together, lead busy lives away from the show with Georgia working as a hairdresser. Abbie is employed as a credit control clerk.
