
Isabel Hodgins is celebrating a special landmark after reaching 20 years on Emmerdale. The actress is renowned for playing the role of Victoria Sugden in the fictional village. Isabel has been playing Victoria on Emmerdale since 2006 when the role was recast.
She was nominated for ‘Best Newcomer’ at the TV Choice and TV Quick awards in 2007. In 2008, she was nominated for ‘Best Young Actress’ at the Inside Soap Awards. Isabel plays the daughter of Jack and Sarah Sugden and adoptive sister to Andy Sugden.
On Instagram this morning, The actress shared a picture of her first scenes back in October 2006. She wrote: “Can’t believe I’ve entered my 20th year on Emmerdale. So many memories, amazing people, and stories over the years.”
The Sugden-Dingle family haven’t had an easy go of things in recent months, with the introduction of John Sugden (Oliver Farnsworth), who has been causing trouble. At the centre of the drama is Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) who has been completely blindsided by John.

In recent episodes, the villagers and Victoria were exposed to all of John’s crimes, including the accidental murder of Nate Robinson. Victoria is set to depart the Emmerdale village soon as Isabel goes on maternity leave, and the actress has teased viewers will “be in for a ride” as the storyline continues.
Speaking to Metro at the Cure Usher Ball, the actress admitted she isn’t sure just how Victoria will leave the village, explaining: “It’s still a surprise. They’re still cooking something up and we’ll see.”
Announcing her pregnancy back in August, Isabel wrote: “First comes love, Then comes marriage, Then comes… Baby Whitehead”, as she shared a snap holding a baby scan with her partner Adam Whitehead.

In April, Isabel shared some exciting relationship news. She married her partner Adam Whitehead, revealing the news with a social media post of two black and white polaroid pictures.
The two camera shots show Isabel and Adam with their hands on top of each other, showing off their new weddings rings. The second was an adorable picture of the ITV star and new husband embracing each other with a kiss on their wedding night.
As the news of the marriage was announced, co-stars and friends congratulated the newly-weds. Daisy Campbell who played Amelia Spencer commented “So happy for you Iz” and Jai Sharmer star, Chris Bisson wrote “Congratulations.”
