A Place in the Sun star Jasmine Harman has been sent well wishes after falling down a flight of stairs. Jasmine has shared her ordeal to Instagram, telling followers that she is in “need” of sympathy after the incident.
In a clip shared to Instagram, the presenter said: “The marble stairs, the stairs that I say to my kids everyday ‘be careful on the stairs’ and I am feeling a bit sorry for myself.” She showed injuries she had suffered as a result of the fall, including a cut open elbow and also complained about pains in her leg and two wrists.
Jasmine said she is “hobbling around” as her neck, back and shoulder also hurt. The TV star told followers she “seized” up as she fell. She captioned the clip: “What things do you constantly tell the kids to watch out for that you end up doing yourself? I am shamelessly feeling sorry for myself and in need of sympathy.”
She is best known for her role on Channel 4’s A Place in the Sun. The 49-year-old helps buyers find their dream home in the sunshine, so she regularly travels all over Europe to seek out the best properties for her clients and for viewers to look at.
The TV host first joined the property programme in 2004 and has since appeared in over 200 episodes. She has also worked on number of BBC documentaries including Collectaholics and My Hoarder Mum and Me.
She has appeared on ITV’s This Morning and GMTV (Good Morning Britain) to present travel and lifestyle segments. Jasmine has also taken part in The Chase Celebrity Special.
After telling followers about her fall, a wave of supportive messages were left on the social media post. One comment said: “Oh bless you, darling. I’m so sorry to hear what happened.
“I hope you’re resting up and that everything heals as quickly as possible. Thinking of you all the time. I can’t lie, I’m a little jealous that you’re over there in the sun and not here anymore.”
A second response said: “Big hugs @jasmineharman If your neck and back are sore would you not go to A&E to double check it’s all okay. Sending lots of love ,you need to be better.”
Others commented: “A tad painful to say the least. I feel your pain, hope you recover very quickly, try not to do it again please” and “Maybe you should be checked out by your doctor. Just to make sure everything is okay. I know I would Jasmine. I’m so sorry I do feel for you very painful.”
Away from the screen, Jasmine is married to Jon Boast and the couple tied the knot in 2009. They met on set of A Place in the Sun, as Jon was the director of photography. Jon and Jasmine share a son called Albion and a daughter, Joy.
Speaking to the Express in 2021, Jasmine said: “I met my husband Jon on my first A Place In The Sun. We did a pilot in South Africa, but when I filmed my first show for the series in Portugal, he was the cameraman.
“I wouldn’t actually say it was love at first sight, it was more of a slow burn. We met, became great friends and then we fell in love. Now we’ve got two children and a dog.”
