Dianne Buswell 'can't deal' as Strictly co-star gifts her a present

Strictly Come Dancing star Dianne Buswell has said she “can’t deal” after a sweet gesture from one of her co-stars. One of the 15 professional dancers taking to the stage of the loved dance TV competition, this year Dianne, 36, is partnered with fellow Aussie, actor and singer Stefan Dennis.

Last year, Dianne triumphed on the show last year with Scouse comedian Chris McCausland and went on to lift the glitterball trophy after several memorable performances. Tonight, October 5, the race for the Glitterball continues at 7.15pm on BBC One for week two’s results show.

For week two, the scores will be carried over and combined with the previous week, with a change to the voting system. In week one, Dianne and Stefan, who is known for playing Paul Robinson in Australian soap opera Neighbours, scored 22 with their Foxtrot to the Neighbours theme song.

And last night, the pair took to the dancefloor once more with their Cha Cha, earning 17 points in total from judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and Shirley Ballas. But away from their performance, many fans know that Dianne is pregnant and expecting her first child with YouTuber and former Strictly partner Joe Sugg.

Dianne first came to Strictly back in 2017 and the following year with Joe, now 34. The pair have been dating since meeting on the BBC dance show in 2018 and last month, shared the incredible family news that they are expecting their first child.

They shared a short clip with their Instagram followers to Elton John’s ‘Tiny Dancer.’ The video showed them drawing stick figures of themselves and their baby.

In the caption, Joe said: “Our little baby boy. We cannot wait to meet you.” Building a happy life together away from the dancefloor, in recent years the couple swapped their four-bedroom detached home for a five bedroom house in Brighton, worth £3.5m.

The house, which was previously owned by footballer Lewis Dunk, is 7,741 square foot in size and has five bathrooms, six reception rooms, an open plan kitchen and a lounge. Following the latest live show yesterday, October 4, Dianne took to Instagram to share a beautiful baby gift from one of her co-stars.

Sharing a photo with fellow professional Neil Jones, Dianne can be seen with an emotional look on her face, showing a tiny pair of Adidas trainers. The caption reads: “Nah I can’t deal thank you Uncle Jonsey [emoji face holding back tears and heart emojis] @mr_njonesofficial @joe_sugg.”

Dianne Buswell was at the centre of a sweet surprise

This isn’t the first time Dianne has received baby gifts or surprises from her Strictly family. In the first live show last week, Strictly was halted to throw her a “surprise baby shower”.

After hearing their score, Claudia Winkleman told Dianne: “Dianne, you know we love you, so I say this from all of us. Welcome to your baby shower!” As balloons and a bassinet were gifted to Dianne with a giant teddy inside, with Justin Bieber’s Baby playing in the studio, Dianne thanked her co-stars.

She said: “That was very lovely, that was a ten second baby shower.” Dianne replied: “I love you all so much, thank you for being so supportive, I appreciate it, thank you.”
