
Stacey Solomon has confirmed she has secured a spot on the Britain’s Got Talent judging panel. The TV star left her fans questioning when she teased she was offered her “dream job”, but remained tight-lipped about where she was going. The 35-year-old has appeared on our screens regularly through the years after she shot to fame on The X Factor in 2009.
Her likeable and outgoing personality has made her a popular character and she regularly shares aspects of her life to her followers on social media. Stacey and her husband Joe Swash live in Pickle Cottage and often post photos of their stunning countryside home. In a recent post on Instagram, Stacey shared a a selfie in her garden as she spoke about being asked to do her “dream job”.
Keeping the job under wraps, she wrote: “I’ve last minute been asked to do an absolutely dream job today so Rose and me are going to get ready and head up there because it’s something she will love too. Genuinely so excited to do this and can’t believe I’ve been asked [tears face emoji].”
However, Stacey updated her followers as she posted a snap from the BGT judging panel. She wrote over the snap: “Dream”, as well as adding: “What in the alternate universe is going on?”

Stacey captured a photo of the crew on stage, as her followers can see her name in bright white lights on the stage, next to the iconic Britain’s Got Talent “X” buzzer.
Stacey’s name sits alongside Alesha Dixon and KSI, but the other judge’s name is not visible. The Mirror reports Stacey was asked to “step in at the last minute”, following reports that Simon Cowell fell ill and producers didn’t want to cancel the auditions.
Britain’s Got Talent has been on screens for almost two decades. The talent show competition came off the back of the successful America’s Got Talent and first aired in June 2007, created by Simon Cowell.
Viewers watch as contestants of any age and any talent audition to show what they are capable of. During auditions, performers will aim to impress the judging panel to secure a place in the next round. Winners of the show receive a cash prize and earn a place at the Royal Variety Performance.
There have been 18 winners of the show to date, and all have impressed the judging panel. From singers to dancers and magicians, many acts have been triumphant on the show.
It was recently announced that YouTube star KSI would be joining the judging panel in a permanent role. The celebrity boxer will be joining Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon to complete the judging panel for series 19 of the show.
The announcement comes as Bruno Tonioli, confirmed he will be stepping back from the upcoming series due to scheduling conflicts as he returns to the US to film the next season of Dancing with the Stars.
KSI appeared as a guest judge on Britain’s Got Talent last year, and was popular with viewers and the other panel members. KSI told ITV: “I’m so grateful and happy to be a part of the Britain’s Got Talent team for another season.
“I had such a good time last year and I can’t wait to see some more top talent. I’m full of energy, ready to go and can’t wait to make this the most entertaining BGT season ever! Let’s do this.”
